I’m busy doing all the other stuff while this thing is cleaning my floors for me!
Very simple to set up. Maps the house easily. I have four dogs lots of dog hair and dust; I live in the desert. This thing works incredibly well! I used the deep cleaner part on my carpeted stairwell to clean up some dog vomit in a couple of spots and it worked amazingly well also! So easy to use and so convenient… love it so far.

Great unit all-round
Works great compared to the Eufy X10 I recently returned for faulty sensors. Better suction, way better mopping. Great unit

Fully featured, impressive, robot vacuum, but not perfect
The media could not be loaded. Thanks to the well documented, large "first time setup" card they include, setup was a breeze. The app has a nice user interface and can even recognize other eufy devices on your network. I still recommend keeping it segregated to an IoT subnet, with your other IoT devices. You will need a Eufy account, naturally, but this was not an issue for me as I already use their security products, which allowed me to use the same account.Once I first turned it on and saw it drive to a room and scan it, that was pretty nice. It didn't have to bump into everything to realize where it was. It literally drove in, did a 360 turn to get a general idea of the room, and then it fined too it's map as it cleaned. It starts out by cleaning the perimeter and then typically goes back and forth within that perimeter until the floor is complete. When I told it clean for the first time, the app asked me if I had any pets. That was nice as I was wondering how it would know to look for 'messes.'It does a good job of seeing things and not just ramming into them, like a cat's water dish.Just vacuuming the first week, I found that while it wasn't perfect, I could still tell a difference and the floor felt cleaner overall. This was increased even more when Eufy send me a free mopping solution to use with it and I got it started mopping, which left the floors with a shine. The only caveat I have, which is seen in my video, it seemed unable to get up loose coffee grinds at the floor in front of my coffee grinder as well as the dry cat food particles near my cat's food dish on the bricks.I'm not sure, but I think this may be due to the floor trim. The sweepers on the vacuum are actually elevated in the middle, but come down to meet the floor where the brushes are. The robot sees the edge of the wall, and positions itself to sweep the edge where the floor meets the wall it sees, not accounting for any floor trim. As a result, instead of the brushes coming down to meet the floor at the edge of the floor trim, they are positioned where the edge of the wall would meet the floor if there were no floor trim.As a result, the brushes sweep up on the floor trim, instead of being positioned far enough away to sweep the floor in front of the floor trim. This is something that will have to be fixed in software. Hoping Eufy recognizes that issue so they can teach their robot to look for edges that have floor trim, and adjust the positioning based on that.Overall, I'm pleased to have a robot vacuum of this caliber, and with these features, and I hope to see Eufy provide updates for it to improve it's abilities.

Finally, a smart combo robot - no more worry about tangled wires
We already have a vacuum/mop combo robot from Tuvacs. However, we have to make sure the cables are out of the way, and the doors are secured so the robot doesn't get tangled or trapped behind doors. When I saw Eufy's new Zero-Tangling combo robot, I had to give it a try.So far, I am impressed. The E28 uses AI and machine vision to map out objects on the floor, such as cables, and navigates around them. This technology allows it to effectively avoid common household obstacles that would ensnare other robots. The suction effectively picked up everyday dirt and debris, and the mopping left the floors damp but not soaked, and they dried quickly. Unlike our older Tuvacs, it didn't leave any water on the floor as it enters and exits the docking station.I did observe one slightly annoying behavior. After it finished mapping the floor, I wasn't able to get it to enter an area it considered a no-go zone during the mapping process. An office chair was in the way during that time. After the chair was removed, I wasn't able to get the robot to go beyond the mapped area initially. It eventually remapped and cleaned the area on its own, but I wasn't able to get it to go beyond the boundary before the map was updated.Pros:* Lighting-fast mapping of the rooms. It didn't have to go deep into all corners of the floor to produce a very detailed initial map of the floor. It then refined the map as it did the actual work.* Very clean entry/exit of the docking station.* Very easy to set up. I was able to get the E28 up and running in just a few minutes.* Obstacle avoidance is great. We no longer need to baby the robot.* Uses very little water. The floor looks and feels clean, so the mopping is adequate.* The slimmer, rectangular shape allows it to go through narrower openings, compared to the larger, conventional circular shape of other robots.* The dust bag needs to be replaced periodically.Cons:* The water tank's refill hole is small, making it somewhat difficult to fill without spilling.* Can't get the robot to update its map in real time, or to temporarily override to clean a zone that's previously obstructed. Hopefully a later firmware update would make improvement in this area.I got the E28 so we can use the robot more freely and frequently without needing to do a lot of prep work. It definitely delivered on that and more!
