The media could not be loaded. I am extremely impressed with this automatic vacuum.For the last few years, I've been using a Roomba j6+, and it wasn't working well for me. It felt like it struggled on the carpet, it could never clean corners so dirt/hair would build up, and worst of all it would get stuck on just about anything.After doing some research and arriving at this being one of the best robot vacuums out there, I pulled the trigger despite the hefty price- and I have NOT regretted it at all.This vacuum does an amazing job cleaning. After my roomba j6+, I went out and got an even deeper carpet, and this Roborock has had no issues cleaning it. And I wasn't even aware of what I was missing out on without having a mopping robot cleaner before now. It really makes my floors feel and look clean. It's a noticeable difference from the last few years. Whenever I go to remove the dirty water, I'm surprised by just how much and how dirty it is.But by far the greatest thing about this vacuum over my last is its obstacle avoidance and mapping. My old roomba would get stuck on the carpet, stuck on chords or cat toys, and if it avoided those it would NEVER get past my barstools. Id wake up to have to find where the vacuum ended up, it be out of battery, and I need to carry it to the docking station. The camera and LiDAR system for this Roborock vacuum completely alleviates this pain point. I never find it having trouble getting back, and the map will even show me the obstacles it had avoided.A few other neat things I appreciate:- the app is very clean, and well organized-- but voice commands and schedules make it so that you dont even need to worry about that either- You can remote control it! Not sure how useful this is, but if you ever are on vacation or away from home and want to find your pet, you can do so. There's even a button to "Find Your Pet", and it will find your animal and let you know it found it.- the cleaning sound (removing dirty and cleaning mop) when it goes back to dock isnt quiet by any means, but is noticeably quieter than my previous vacuum.- it's not much larger than my previous vacuum- Replacing water/soap/cleaning out dirty water is simple. I keep it near the kitchen so I can easily do these things- connecting to wifi was a breeze and i haven't had any issues from a smart-home perspective at allOverall I can easily recommend this vacuum. If you're willing to pay the expensive price, I can vouch that I haven't been disappointed by it's performance. Not sure what else you could ask for from a Robot vacuum.

The Roborock app guided me through the setup, and it mapped my home quickly. I could name rooms, schedule cleanings, and even set “no-go” zones (like a child’s very messy room!) where I didn’t want it to enter. For someone who doesn’t have time to fiddle with tech, this was a relief.Day-to-Day Use: The cleaning performance is excellent. I have a combination of hardwood and wall to wall carpet where this little guy wanders, and the S8 MaxV Ultra handles both without issue. Its suction is powerful enough to handle dust, pet hair, and those little hairballs from my daughters! The mopping feature is also great. It doesn’t just drag a damp pad around — it actually cleans and doesn’t leave a wet mess. I’ve noticed a real difference in how clean my floors look and feel. Plus, the mop lifts when it detects carpet, which means I don’t have to worry about soggy rugs. And it has a nice low profile to fit under all my furniture.The Dock: What really sold me on this Roborock is that it empties the dustbin and cleans and dries the mop with heat high enough to clean the mop heads well, kill bacteria and prevent mold from forming. All I need to do is refill the water tank and soap, empty the dirty water tank once a week, and empty the dust bin. Low maintenance enough to fit perfectly into my busy schedule!Smart Features & Navigation: It responds to voice commands (my FAVORITE!!), has a great app, and navigates like a pro. I don’t have to worry about it getting stuck on cords. My last robotic vacuum would wander unpredictably and I always wondered if it covered all the areas, but this little guy is precise enough I don’t have to worry if it gets to everywhere.Final Thoughts: Yes, the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is a serious investment, but for someone like me — constantly juggling work, home, and everything in between — it’s absolutely worth it. It’s like having a dependable assistant quietly taking care of the house while I focus on running my business and taking care of family and myself.

After hearing an amazing recommendation from someone my wife knows, we finally decided on Roborock—and we're so glad we did!The setup was straightforward, and the automatic mapping and floor plan development were relatively seamless. I still need to fine-tune a few room setups and barriers, but the process has been good so far. We have an upstairs, so I was able to carry the robot upstairs and drop it off. It was mapped and cleaned without coming down the stairs. The cliff edge detector works well!The suction power is impressive, and the little side arms do a fantastic job reaching baseboards and corners. It easily fits under furniture, beds, and other hard-to-reach areas, which makes a huge difference in managing dust accumulation in those hard-to-reach spots.It's quiet, considering what it is doing (far less noise than a traditional vacuum). The quality feels solid, and so far, it's durable. We agree with those who called this life-changing—Roborock has earned a customer for life, no doubt.
