Between managing my shop, staying on top of paperwork, and keeping things running smoothly at home, I needed a solution that would take floor cleaning completely off my plate. After doing quite a bit of research, I decided to invest in the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, and I haven’t looked back since.Setup and Ease of Use: Roborock’s setup process is surprisingly easy and straightforward. The Roborock app guided me through the setup, and it mapped my home quickly. I could name rooms, schedule cleanings, and even set “no-go” zones (like a child’s very messy room!) where I didn’t want it to enter. For someone who doesn’t have time to fiddle with tech, this was a relief.Day-to-Day Use: The cleaning performance is excellent. I have a combination of hardwood and wall to wall carpet where this little guy wanders, and the S8 MaxV Ultra handles both without issue. Its suction is powerful enough to handle dust, pet hair, and those little hairballs from my daughters! The mopping feature is also great. It doesn’t just drag a damp pad around — it actually cleans and doesn’t leave a wet mess. I’ve noticed a real difference in how clean my floors look and feel. Plus, the mop lifts when it detects carpet, which means I don’t have to worry about soggy rugs. And it has a nice low profile to fit under all my furniture.The Dock: What really sold me on this Roborock is that it empties the dustbin and cleans and dries the mop with heat high enough to clean the mop heads well, kill bacteria and prevent mold from forming. All I need to do is refill the water tank and soap, empty the dirty water tank once a week, and empty the dust bin. Low maintenance enough to fit perfectly into my busy schedule!Smart Features & Navigation: It responds to voice commands (my FAVORITE!!), has a great app, and navigates like a pro. I don’t have to worry about it getting stuck on cords. My last robotic vacuum would wander unpredictably and I always wondered if it covered all the areas, but this little guy is precise enough I don’t have to worry if it gets to everywhere.Final Thoughts: Yes, the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is a serious investment, but for someone like me — constantly juggling work, home, and everything in between — it’s absolutely worth it. It’s like having a dependable assistant quietly taking care of the house while I focus on running my business and taking care of family and myself.

I'll just say it right at the gate this was certainly more money than I had planned to spend on a product like this however depending on your wants and needs, I would say this is certainly worth the money spent. This thing vacuums and mops as well as empties and cleans. What my wife used to do daily is now handled by it and we do a deep clean once every week or two depending on schedules.. it's fairly large, so be prepared to have a place to set it up and there's a bit of set up involved in terms of adding water putting in all the pieces together and then obviously syncing it to your phone and Wi-Fi. But once you get the thing set up, it's pretty awesome. I've had very little issues with it getting stuck or knowing where to go and the quality of the work which I have had other model struggle with has been fantastic. We have a dog and two kids were in and out of the house a lot and this thing vacuums almost as good as an upright if not as good follow that up with the mopping option, which is absolutely fantastic and our house is always clean and ready. There's also neat little features that I probably don't take as much advantage of, but I think some people would appreciate you can call it to a particular room that you're in to clean up a mess you can drive it yourself from your smart phone, there's little quality of life things that it handles really well. Me personally I found a profile that worked best for us and just kind of said it and forget it and that's the way that I like it. Again it navigate really well. We tried to do our best to kind of set up the room so it can be efficient but if we leave the house and forgot it still does a wonderful job of navigating around and getting all the dirty spots great suction, and even the mop which I know can be lacking in some models is great.

I've been using robot vacuums for many years, but this is my first time trying Roborock. My wife and I decided to switch from iRobot to Roborock for a couple of reasons: 1) we've heard great things about its intelligence and build quality in the past; 2) we needed a robot vacuum that can mop and self-clean. While the price was higher, we decided to give it a try and ended up buying two different models—one for each floor of our home. Here are the things which this S8 MaxV Ultra has impressed me so far:1. App Setup: The app is very well-designed and easy to use. Setting up the vacuum was a breeze, and I can easily share the devices with my wife, so she has access to all the same information.2. Mapping: I recommend letting the vacuum perform a quick mapping first rather than starting with a full cleaning. The map it creates is very smart and accurate. I can even set "no-go" zones for areas I don’t want it to clean, which works perfectly.3. Self-Cleaning Mop: The vacuum automatically wets, cleans, and dries the mop. All I need to do is refill the clean water, add detergent if needed, and empty the dirty water. It saves me a lot of time.4. Cleaning Track in the App: The app shows the cleaning path and time, giving me a good overview of how the job is progressing and helping me plan for next time.5. Remote Control: I can control the vacuum remotely, which is great because cleaning normally takes over an hour. I prefer letting it work while I'm away, rather than having it run around when I'm home.6. Suction Power: I haven’t used the highest suction setting, as my floors are wood and tile, and medium power is sufficient. As I mentioned, mopping is my main priority.So far, I'm really impressed with this product and love how it’s making my cleaning routine easier.
