That it works great. I have one right next to our computers.
I forgot how long ago we purchased one of these about 5yrs then they were impossible to find anywhere online, the one we purchased is still working, think I replaced the blub one time since purchase, it works really really well. I just wish the cord was white instead of black, so it was not so noticeable. I ordered 2 more today because I like to keep one in the bathroom and the living room. definitely worth the price they are asking. My wife loves the fact they don't make zap noises.

Using this product every day
We get a lot of small gnats and no-see-ums and mosquitos in the kitchen area. I installed this high on the wall (not too high so that Ican open it to preplace the bug-sticky-mat). It comes with three bug-sticky-mats and we have had to use just one so far for several months now. we are very happy with it. We run the the using just wnen whe notice flying bugs in the house or when we know that a door has been open for while and the potential is that bugs would have gotten inside the house. If I could suggest that it needs one improvement it is that I would like it to have an in-line on/off switch. an alternative to this for others would be to pluc it into an outlet that has a wall-switch. Otherwise you are pluging it in and un-plugging it to turn it on and off.The cord is not long, but sinnce it is above the counter-space in the kitchen we plug it into an outlet that is above the counter on the wall, so that we could mount it high on the wall - close to the ceiling.

Best in Budget Class
This is similar to what a lot of restaurants use in their kitchens. You’ve probably seen similar units behind your local grocery store deli counter. It works, but not as well during the day. I have older windows in the house, and after a bit of a rainy spell we kept getting gnats coming in from outside through little air gaps around the windows. A gnat trap by the window worked great and would catch quite a few, but we wanted something “cleaner” looking so opted in this direction. During its first day, it caught maybe 3 gnats vs the yellow sticky paper by the window which caught 12. Granted the sticky paper had the better placement, but I didn’t want to put this light next to the window as advertisement for other bugs to try and come inside…. So it’s further back in the kitchen for now. The first night didn’t give much better results - maybe 3 more gnats. It wasn’t until the second night when I tried turning off ALL of the lights downstairs that this really started to be effective. Woke up to a few Beatles, random fliers, and gnats stuck to the glue trap. I don’t know if they were drawn in through my old leaky windows by the light, or if they were already inside… but it certainly worked better. My guess is the power or wavelength of the bulb may not be quite effective when other lights are on or during the daylight, but it does work well for nighttime control. It was easy to set up and comes with three sticky sheets to get you started. I try not to look at the light out of UV exposure concerns, but I’m not sure if this wavelength is damaging or not. Best advice, mount it high and out of the way, preferably not in sight of an old leaky window, and for best results keep all lights off at night. Otherwise, it DOES nab a few during the day - so it’s effective at pest maintenance - it’s just better in the dark and may not squash a gnat population right away. For for every day kitchen pest control/maintenance, I’d recommend.

Can't find sticky boards replacements
Works great, but I can't find replacement sticky boards anywhere that fit.Useless without them

The black and decker face plate is ugly and you can see the bulb illuminated inside
This device works well. I am giving it 3/5 stars because I am replacing an older Hoont brand (identical mold that B&D apparently has acquired as their own line) and the B&D face plate which is the only different part has decorative cutouts which when turned on, you can see through the cutouts and the unsightly blue bulb inside. I have this mounted in my kitchen so it’s part of the decor. I trashed the B&D face plate and used the old Hoont one.Obviously most people won’t have an alternative face plate option. If I was stuck using the B&D face plate, I would cover up the cutouts with blue painters tape from the inside or something.

Bigger than expected
Came in two days! Product is bigger than I expected. Very easy to place. Long electrical cord which is awesome. And came with 3 sticky mats! So far been in use for 24hrs. Caught 2 flies and u don't even see them which is the best part. The kids love the light at night. I placed mine in the kitchen. So far so good.
