Works well for PCB etching
Bought 500 gms ASES for Rs 260.00. Made some test PCB s using another reviewer' s ( Zotin) recommendations . Dissolved 50 gms in 140 ml carefully for etching. The copper completely dissolved in 12 to 13 minutes.Haven't used any other product, so cannot compare with other products. For my requirement, works well and it is reasonably priced.Packing was good.Used FR4 one sided 3inX3in PCB.Use gloves and safety glasses when processing.

Guide for beginners
I'm not in a position to review this particular product because my order was cancelled during last year's lockdown. However, since beginners are often at a loss about how to prepare and use ferric chloride for etching PCBs, here's a brief guide. There is no exact formula for the ratio of ferric chloride to water for PCB etching. With nearly 50 years of experience behind me, I've found that a ratio of 375 grams of FeCl3 to 1 litre of water works very well. If you want to mix the whole 500 gm in one go, use about 1.3 litre of water. If you want to prepare only a small amount of etchant and don't have the means to take precise measurements, take out a quarter from the 500gm bottle and dissolve it in two full teacups of water. If you etch only small PCBs at a time, you can reuse the solution many times.WARNING:1. The solution will get VERY hot when you first prepare it. Ordinary glass or thin plastic containers (like a mineral water bottle) may burst from the heat. Use something like a plastic bowl or jug.2. Do not use metal containers. FeCl3 will etch and corrode them.3. FeCl3 stains skin and cloth.4. FeCl3 is extremely hygroscopic and readily absorbs moisture from the air. Close the lid after you have taken out the amount you're going to use.Other hints:The raw copper-clad board must be perfectly clean before etching. Even a fingerprint will prolong the etching time.Place the board face up in the solution. Keep rocking the vessel (but be careful not to splash the liquid). After etching, flush the board thoroughly with water so that no trace of the solution remains.
