Ideal Cream For Preventing Rash
I originally purchased this product by mistake. My son was born 2 months early and was in the NICU. He had developed a diaper rash after about 2 weeks and the nurses were using Destin which was the only diaper cream selection provided by the hospital. It wasn't working and the rash was getting worse. They let me know I could provide any cream/ointment I wanted to for my little babe and several of them suggested the Burt's Bees Diaper Ointment. (As I quickly learned getting advice about a baby product from the NICU nurse was like a master class in baby care.) Being a sleep deprived new NICU mom I ran over to the nearest Target and grabbed the Burt's Bees Diaper Cream & Powder not realizing this is different from the Burt's Bees Diaper Ointment. At the time it was a rather new product to their baby offerings. I took it back to the NICU and started using it. It immediately helped clear up the rash and became the new favorite cream of the NICU nurses because it is easy to apply, thin and dries quickly. During my son's tenure in the hospital I ended up purchasing several tubes for other NICU moms and it helped all of their babes rashes. While it cleared up his rash in the NICU, over the past 5 months I have experimented with several different creams and ointments including Burt's Bees Diaper Ointment, Desitin, A&D, Butt Paste, Honest Diaper Cream and Aquaphor. The Burt's Bees Diaper Cream & Powder is still by far my favorite and works the best on my little guy for preventing rash. I love the pleasant fresh baby powder smell. I find the Burt's Bees Diaper Ointment lavender smell to be very overpowering and the Butt Paste/Desitn both smell like feet. The best analogy I can use for this cream verses other thicker creams/ointments is that this is more like a nice car wax. If you apply it at every diaper change it will keep your car looking nice and the rash away. If your car (baby's bottom) is already scratched or damaged (sores or rash) then you need to get a whole new paint job. Preventative maintenance will no longer help and a thicker more healing cream or ointment may work better to clear up the rash. I would recommend the Honest Organic Healing Balm (not sold on Amazon) for healing rash and sores that are already existing. On the very rare occasions my babe does start to develop a slight rash I immediately use the Honest Organic Healing Balm and top with the Burt's Bees Diaper Cream & Powder. The one two punch is the perfect combo for him.Pros- thin cream- dries quickly- pleasant baby powder smell that is not overpowering- great for prevention of rashCons- white powder residue can rub on dark colored clothing- oil and cream separate as you get towards the bottom of the tubeWhile no diaper cream is the holy grail the best prevention, as all moms know, is frequent diaper changes and keeping those bums clean & dry.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT and not just for babies!
I absolutely love this product and it has become a "must have" in our medicine cabinet. I'm a couple years past the diaper stage now, but I've still found that this product is so useful that I need to keep it on hand. My favorite diaper cream was Burt's Bees Baby Bee Cream, which has a slight lavender scent and is much thicker. However, now that my babies are a few years older, the cream-to-powder is what I use. It is absolutely the best for rashes from sweating or chafing. It is our "go to" product in the summer -- and my husband and I both use it, too! I love the fact that the cream has the oil that comes out with it, which makes it so, so easy to spread -- especially if you are spreading it on an already-tender bum you don't want anything that pulls even the tiniest bit.. I'm quite honestly shocked to see so many bad reviews. Just know that there will be oil that comes out with the cream and then it will turn into a smooth, dry powder with a very pleasant, light baby powder scent. As long as you know what to expect with the oil and dispense with that in mind, you'll probably love it.

Good product!
I got this product as a replacement for baby powder, and while it does not work as good as powder, it is a nice alternative. As other reviewers mentioned, it does have a tendency of balling on the skin, so the application isn't entirely smooth and doesn't disappear on the skin. I also noticed that you have to shake the bottle well or else the cream and oil will separate. The smell is great and it seems to do a good job of protecting my LO's bum from diaper rash. I will def buy this again!

Amazing Stuff
I put this stuff on subscribe and save (2 at a time) because it is a few dollars cheaper than buying it locally. This is the only diaper rash cream that we have found that actually clears up our baby's diaper rash. We have tried all the name brands, but they didn't work. I like that it has the cream and powder together as the powder tends to make such a mess. This cream is pretty thick, and it stays on baby's skin longer. The only thing I don't like about it, is that midway through a bottle, there is some oily residue that comes out with the cream. I've had 3 bottles of this stuff, all purchased at different times and different stores and they all had the oily residue. The residue only remains for a few applications, then it dissipates. Well worth it to have a diaper rash free baby.

Waste of money!
The product separates and oil rises to the top of the tube no matter which way you store it, so by the third time you go to use it you have to get through a gush of oil in order to get to any cream. Complete waste of money. Too bad, because other than that I liked it, scent was nice, it felt like a great consistency the first time using it (before separation).

Not the best eating on cosmetic database for safety
Not the best eating on cosmetic database for safety, and looked at that after I bought this. It is very cool how the liquid turns into a powder. The scent is acceptable, not too strong. But the biggest problem is there is always a separation in the runnier part of liquid from the more solid white lotion so when you try to apply the cream you have to squirt it into your palm or the super runny clear part drips all over. It seems to protect baby's bottom pretty well.

My ball powder!!
You guys ruined it!! Your bad reviews killed the best ball powder a man can buy. "Chunky and greasy"?! You have to shake it, fool! It's mostly natural, it's not going to stay a perfect consistency without some agitation. It doesn't even take much after a fresh shave. A dollup will do ya. I used to use shower to shower baby powder back when you could only find the feminine fragrances at WM so I went around with lovely vanilla junk for many years. Used to hurriedly towel it off before crucial moments out of embarrassment. Then along came Burts Bees Baby Cream to Powder and for so many years I haven't even had to think about how to manage that stuff until you all had to mess it all up. I don't know. Maybe it's just a supply chain thing.
