This has got to be, The most adorable coin bank I've ever had. It really does look like a cardboard box, And the picture looks just like the real thing. I ordered the stripped tabby with the strawberry box, And it is just as adorable as I thought. It meows as the box opens just enough for it's head to peak out, And slowly the paw come out, Covered in a soft felt like fur, And snatches your coin before going back inside, Meowing again.It was a little smaller than I was expecting, But it is just as cute, If not more for it's size. And it holds a whopping amount of coins too. I'll admit that after the fifteenth coin, The meowing does get a little annoying. But if you are putting away a penny a day, It's fine.Speaking of pennies, The cat paw seems to have trouble with pennies, But no trouble with dimes.I wonder why.A very good buy, But make sure you have two double AA batteries, As it doesn't come with any.

Itazura Coin Bank (American Shorthair)This bank is so cute! I had seen these floating around on the internet and it seemed like the perfect gift for a cat lover, and it is! Her cats aren't exactly the biggest fan on the toy since it is almost as cute as they are, but everyone else loves it. It definitely is a conversation starter and has kept our delight very well. You can't beat that moment of anticipation where you wait for the kitty to pop out of the box and accept your offering of coinage haha. While I have no idea what the writing on the box says, I like that it sticks to it's country of origin instead of some of the english knock-offs I've seen. The only issue here is now I want to collect them all!

This is very cute, but I was disappointed to find that it doesn't make any noise. The same bank from another seller says "hello" and "thank you". I don't know if I got a defective product, but this was given as a gift and now I'm very upset that it doesn't do the cute sounds that it's supposed to.

This is THE BEST CAT TOY! I know it's supposed to be a bank, but I saw a video of a cat playing with it and bought it for my 1 year old cat who is hard to please in the toy dept! I showed him the button and kept showing it to him as the kitty would meow and pop out. He loved the kitty's paw coming out and went crazy trying to get it out. It only took him about an hour of me showing him to push the button and he figured it out on his own. Now, I have to pick it up at night, otherwise he'll play with it all night long and I'll have to listen to the thing meow. I'm thinking of buying another one just in case my cat breaks this one because he's so rough with it -- he literally attacks it so rough that the bank moves and tips over, which he loves because it makes it seem like the kitty is trying to get away from him again. I don't know if it works as a bank because I never used it that way, but I can definitely say that my money has been well-spent unlike other cat toy purchases!!

I saw a lot of videos online of people messing with their cats using this bank, which meows audibly, and has a cat poking out of a door with its paw out to grab a coin. I am possessed of TWO cats I love to mess with, so invested in one of these post-haste. Sadly, both of my cats were unimpressed, which was a big letdown. However, I loved to play with it, and showed to to every and anyone who visited, who also loved to play with it. I can't say I actually got it to stockpile coins, but it occupies a central location in my living room for playing, even if my cats are unimpressed. :( Fab directions in Japanese.

Best thing ever! My cats love to watch it come out and meow. It works perfectly and really is a good way to keep from having loose change all over the house. I love how I can use this as a decoration on my desk for people who have no clue what it is. The looks on their faces when they see is is hilarious. My older cat learned how to press the button to make the kitty come out so I had to hide it at night to keep me from getting scared LOLOverall a fun cute buy.

This product is totally awesome!! I bough it as a Secret Santa gift and immediately regretted not getting one for myself. I thought it would be a fun gag gift and it was definitely that and more. This little coin bank would surely get old if you sat there and did it for days on end but its cuteness and hilarity make up for its repetitiveness. The added bonus? cats actually enjoy this as a toy as well, they figure out quickly if you push the button a little kitty comes out. I also enjoyed that the entire packaging and instructions were in Japanese, just adds to the aura of this little guy. Make sure you get some AA batteries as they are not included (Requires 2 AA's)

I order a lot on amazon and this may be the only thing that has really dissapointed me.. I bought it for my girlfriend cause she's a crazy cat person and i got her so hyped up about this, well when we turned it on the cat took its quarter, and then it kept coming back for more, for 15 times until she finally said "thank you" amd then she stopped mid way to closing the lid, I don't know if this makes sense, but what I'm trying to say is that it didnt work for me day one, I kept it cause her cat finaly had something to stare at other then the wall
