Good Kits, Excellent Instructions!
I bought two IFixit battery kits in May, for friends phones. They were for an iPhone 6S and iPhone 7. Neither person wanted to give up their phone long enough for me to replace the battery, LOL. Finally, I was able to do one on 6/29, and the other one was done today, 7/7.Both kits included everything needed to make the repairs, except for the hair dryer to heat the adhesive for separating the phone's case. The instructions on IFixit's web site are very detailed and easy to follow. The screws in the iPhones are very tiny. The iFixit kits include a screwdriver handle with three interchangeable tips for the various screws. I have some clear plastic 2 ounce portion cups that I keep on my workbench, for storing parts while working on a project. They came in handy to store the small screws and parts that were removed from the iPhone in the various steps of the battery replacement. Each step got its own portion cup, and the cups were stacked on each other. This made it easy to keep track of which screws go with which bracket, taptic engine, etc., and in what order they were removed. If you decide to use this cup method, you will need about six of them. You don't need lids, as the cups are just nested together with the parts in them. When you reinstall the two pentalobe screws that are in the bottom cup, you are finished!I have an inexpensive flip-up magnifier head set for working on small projects. It was very useful while working with the iPhones, particularly in removing the old adhesive that is used for the waterproof seal. You need to make sure all of that adhesive is removed before installing the new adhesive that's included in the kit.

Easy install and ifixit batteries are always fine but what a ton of extra stuff.
I've always had good luck with ifixit stuff and I love that they're huge right to repair advocates. Installation was easy with the included tools, and their batteries are usually better than the lesser quality knockoffs that are out there. But I gotta say.... I really wish there was an option on here or their site for just the battery from ifixit. I spent some time looking and I couldn't find anything besides this kit. Yeah I used the tools because they were in the box and right in front of me but this is probably the tenth set of tools I have to replace an iphone battery- I just don't need any more unless they change the screws. And... the amount of packaging is just a waste. It's well done and I feel bad criticizing it, but it just seems really wasteful and could maybe be done with a little bit less of it. I was actually surprised at the size of the box that everything shipped in.Again, ifixit has always been reliable and I like the company and I'm definitely not knocking them a star or anything for "over-packaging" their stuff. It's just my two cents.Otherwise I'd highly recommend this set if you're ok with the slightly higher price compared to other seller son here. You get what you pay for.

Did wonders for my phone
My phone’s original battery was behaving erratically. Things like turning off at 100% only to reboot to show 10% to then reboot again to show 80%. So I knew it was time for a replacement. Kit arrived with a battery and almost (I’ll get to that in a second) all the tools necessary to open the phone and remove the old one. I would say that it was an easy install, but not a fast one. This isn’t as simple as popping off a back panel and swapping out a battery. There’s screws of various sizes and head shapes, strong adhesives to remove, and delicate cables to disconnect. Read the instructions available online a time of two before even starting the process. And continue to consult them as you’re going along. In addition to the tools that came with the kit, I had to use hairdryer to heat up the adhesive to weaken its bond. And it spots where that failed, I used a very small amount of acetone (they recommend 90% isopropyl alcohol, of which I didn’t have) to further weaken the adhesive fusing the battery to the back of the phone. Again it took some time and patience, but was well worth having a more reliable phone again.

After 2 weeks battery doesn't hold more than two days just for sitting
I bought this just 2 weeks ago and it does not hold more than 2 days even I do not use it at all. I tried to return the battery and found that the both of the glue tape was so weak that they broke on the edge and did not come out (original did come out easily). So i¥I cannot return the battery.

Replacing iPhone battery made EZ
Replacing my iPhone battery was made super easy by this kit, it included most tools you'll need (you'll most likely still need a heat gun or hair dryer). The instructional video was also well made and clear and conscise and easy to follow.

first time install went smoothly
Wanted to prolong the life of my 6s because I didn’t feel like paying for a whole new phone back when I got this. I didn’t have much prior experience with digging around in phones but the installation went a lot smoother than I originally thought it would. Remember to take your time with the adhesive strips on the old battery and you should be good. Thankfully, I didn’t have to deal with it snapping because I did it very slowly and made sure to readjust my grip on the strip whenever I would pull a lot of it out. After the extraction of the old battery it’s mostly just poppin the new one in and re-securing your phone. Good kit.

Makes DIY possible
Tools and battery are good. The replacement instructions (on their website, doesn't come with printed instructions) are very good, but not excellent. Some of what's missing from the instructions can be gleaned from the customer comments under each step. One thing not in the instructions: Put a shirt or cloth down on your work surface, so if you accidentally drop a screw it'll stay put. I was working on a kitchen counter and dropped one of the nearly microscopic screws, and when it hit the hard counter it went flying somewhere onto the floor. I was lucky to find it because the screws are so small they're almost impossible to see with the naked eye.About that, it would be nice if the kit included a set of replacement screws for that possibility, especially since I doubt it would add more than a few cents to the cost of the kit.
