Fits great, sturdy, came with everything needed
After reading some of the reviews I was a bit worry about the quality of the screws, but installation was easy and without any issue. The screws are well made, kit came with 2 Allen keys for the bar ends and the mounting screws, did not strip any screws during installation.Tips:Make sure the screw is properly seated in the thread to avoid crossed thread, rock the bar back and forth a bit until the screw can be hand-turned easily in.Make sure the Allen key is seated properly all the way in the screw and position yourself directly in front of the screw to avoid stripping the screws. If it’s not seated fully, the force will not distribute evenly and you’ll strip any screw. I laid flat on the roof to tighten the screws.Don’t over tighten the screws to the point of stripping, tighten it enough and then use blue threadlocker.

For a 2017 Ford Explorer
I have a 2017 Ford Explorer, so it fit perfect. The only issue I had, I could not tighten the screws from the side piece to the bars. There was not enough room under it once installed. So I had to line up everything, then tighten then install. After the second or third time removing it, I got really good at it. I would order these again !!!

Seems durable. Does not fit middle position.
I attempted to install these on my 2018 Explorer last night. The front bar went on easy enough. Two tips for making the install easier, since it's difficult to access the bolts underneath the crossbar when mounted. 1) Preassemble, but do not tighten crossbar-mount bolts. 2) Snugly tighten the mounts to the rails so that the distance been roof rails is accurate for the crossbar. Tighten the inner most bolt for the crossbar-mount interface. This is doable with the allen wrench provided, but the bolt must be finger tight before placing the cross bar on the car. Remove the rail and tighten the remaining crossbar-mount bolts. Then, permanently install the crossbar. The rear bar will install ONLY in the rear-most position (5/6 in the instructions). If attempting to install in the middle position (3/4 in the instructions), using all the adjustment in the mounts, the bars are 1/4 inch too short. Or, 1/2 inch too short with adjustment all the way the other way.I'll be temporarily installing with washers on one side to fill the gap. As a permanent fix, I'll be making two 3/16 inch aluminum shims to fill the gap to mount these in the middle position (3/4 in the instructions).

Great value!
Amazed at how nice this kit is! I was skeptical with the low price but these rails are a perfect fit for my 18' Explorer Sport! Very easy to install and feel very sturdy once installed. Highly recommend! I didn't notice any increase in noise with these either.

Very useful
I put these on my 2016 explorer. Got a lot of use out of them. They installed fairly easily and have maintained for several months now. Look good and useful. I read a review that somebody heard a whistling noise after they installed them. I have not had that issue. I have a sunroof that’s open all the time and no sound at all from them.

Sturdy, but Lacking Basic Quality
I think the materials themselves are pretty robust and sturdy. The shipping was quick and the racks ended up fitting my ford explorer pretty well.My issue (and reason for the 1 star review) came with the fact that two of the smaller screws were not machined properly. As you can see in the pictures (with red arrows), there was material not fully machined out of the head of the screw, which meant that the allen key would not fit inside. Therefore I was only able to thread it in with my fingers and not fully tighten. I'm anticipating these to slowly loosen and potentially fall out due to the vibration from the car over time. The second issue I had was that the screw hole in one of the brackets was not fully drilled which made it so the screw could not fit through it. You can see the rough edge of the hole and the material hanging over it. I had to use a round file to file down the material around the hole, but considered myself lucky to even have the right tools to do that. If I didn't, I would of had to send it back.Overall the workmanship of these parts was extremely disappointing. What should have taken 10 minutes to installed quickly turned into 30+ minutes after having to work around all these issues. Luckily I was able to make them fit/work temporarily, but I foresee having to address these issues in the future at some point. I understand these come at a great price, but these are pretty simple issues that could have made it unusable.

2019 Explorer Limited - doesn't fit middle set of side rail mounting holes
Owner of a 2019 Explorer Limited. There are three sets of mounting holes on the Explorer side rails. The provided crossbars will fit the front (long crossbar) and rear (short crossbar). The short crossbar will not fit the middle set of side rail mounting holes without modification. You can see in the picture that the assembled crossbar is 3/16" too short. I had to use my rotozip to enlarge the mounting support holes so I had enough play to gain the 3/16".I needed to use the middle set of side rail mounting holes so I could attach a Harbor Freight Haul Master cargo basket that is 36" long. The basket is too short to work with the full front / rear configuration. The crossbars were cheap and seem to be reasonably constructed, and will work fine if you use the full front/rear mounting configuration - but expect to horse around if you want/have to use the middle set of mounting holes.Problem could be solved by enlarging the adjustable mounting support holes by 3/32" during production.
