No complaints here!
I spent a long time looking at many different makes and decided on the Aukuyee as it fell within my budget, had a 1100w heater, claimed to be whisper quiet and could be operated manually or by my phone via Wi-Fi 3/4G. Although the Wi-Fi had some mixed reviews due to connection issues, I still thought I'd give it a go, as I considered Wi-Fi operation wasn't a deal breaker but simply an added bonus at the price.Upon switching it on, as some of the reviews had said, it didn't seem to want to connect to my Wi-Fi but then I had a light bulb moment. I have a VPN for security, so Switched that off and the unit connected immedieately. I then switched the VPN back on and the unit stayed connected. To make sure, I then powered the unit off completely, waited a while, then turned it back on with the VPN still switched on and it connected first time, and I have had no issues since, it connects every time. The obvious first cook with it was steak, and I have to say it was a great success. Firstly, being an 1100 watt heater it heated the water rapidly, (within ten minutes) although to be fair, using a tip I'd read somewhere, I filled the water bath with hot water from the tap, which helped speed up the process. When it let me know the set temperature had been reached, I checked it with a very accurate thermapen and as the blurb states, it was within 1 degree. I prepared my steaks put them in a zip-lock bag, allowed the water pressure push out the air, zipped it closed and let the Aukuyee do its thing. The claim the unit is whisper quiet in operation is true, it wouldn't wake a sleeping baby. In fact, if it wasn't for the gentle movement of the water and the illuminated ring and facia, you'd be hard pushed to know it was on.In operation I found the touch pad was very quick and responsive and also altered immediately, when using my phone via Wi-Fi to change temp or cook time. The use of an illuminated ring which showed blue for heating up, green for cooking and red for when cooking was complete, I liked rather than some faint indistinct noise. Notification also appeared on my phone when the cooking time was complete.Unlike many other sous vide wands where the top is plastic and the section to be immersed is metal and round, this unit is all plastic and square with a midriff taper, but don't let that put you off, as it is quite sturdy. The clip on the back holds the unit reasonably firmly and I have used a water bath the size of which, meant the unit could stand on the bottom (which the flat, flared square design allows) and also, one where it hung on the side without touching the bottom, but the clip still held it firm.I like the very different sleek design but more importantly, because it has a sense touch screen, I guess it will not suffer from the issue of steam ingress causing the electronics to fail, which it seems that those with a wheel used to alter the temperature (even the most popular brand ) can suffer from. But only time will tell.Overall, for the money I cannot find fault. Everything works as it should, even the Wi-Fi where the app is intuative and easy to navigate. As I've only used it twice now, it's too early to say about reliability or longevity, but as far as first impressions go, it seems to be a good product. The package comes with a set-up guide for the Wi-Fi and what does what and how, and a small cooking/recipe guide. As you can see by the pictures rather than pay for an expensive water bath, lid and rack, I bought a 15L polypropylene bin with lid for £6 from a well known national DIY store and cut out the lid to match the wand (a five minute job) and an extendable, retractable, adjustable scissor action stainless steel rack (pot lid holder) from a well known Swedish home store, to hold the immersed food bags in place, saving me about £80.But what about the cooking? Well, sous vide takes the guesswork for timing, a bit of luck and the requirement to be a professioinal cook, out of cooking meat to perfection every time. My steaks were cooked to perfection. Juicy, tender and tasty, and my other half said they were the best she'd ever had. I will never go back to cooking them any other way.

No wifi functionality
Was tempted to give 2 stars as it does technically function as a sous vide cooker but when you advertise wifi connectivity that should probably also be included. The iPhone app seems promising as it allows you to actually input your network details but despite changing the frequency bands my router was using to the one specified by the manual it was still unable to connect. The android app was even worse (have a read of the reviews on the play store and you'll see). It hasnt been updated in over a year and doesnt even allow you to enter the correct network name when it is unable to detect the one you are connected to. I contacted their sales team and was given unhelpful cookie cutter steps that couldn't be carried out for my problem in broken barely intelligible English so the cooker has unfortunately been returned

Great but the app could do with more cooking instructions
Works find but I do wish the app had a little more detail. I bought a joint of gammon to cook in it and the app didn’t even have any suggested cooking times for it. Just suggested menus.

WiFi won't connect.
Looks ok and seems to work but it won't connect to the WiFi via the app. I have tried the android app and iOS app none will connect to the machine and allow config to allow wireless control. Very disappointed

Good but could be better
Would be five stars but it will not connect with a dual Mghz router even if you turn off the 5Mghz band. Can still be used manuaaly

Easy wifi connection, beautiful device and nicely packed with clear manual
I wasn't shore what brand to choose because all niche brands. So this one was cheapest with a mobile app to control it so just give it a try... But it is a very nice device, quiet, easy to set up. Heats up quickly 1100W is for my purpose enough. You can operate it on the device itself or by the app. All speaks for itself so no difficult instructions. I connected the machine and started the app, connection with wifi was within 10 seconds done. switched it off and on again and wifi was connected again. You only have to connect it the first time and with the Samsung phone of my wife and the android app it only needed to add de device and wifi setting was not needed because it was already connected to the router by my iphone. Than I did a test to put the cooker in the barn, lik 15 meters from the router and the house, but was no problem for the wifi connection. So it is very quiet and you can leave it in the kitchen but all options work. So have to see how long the machine will last but the first impression is really great. And for the price I paid 59 pound including shipping I would advise you to give it a try:-)

Value for money
Have been using this everyday. WiFi doesn't work but I didn't really try anyway, it doesn't affect its utility.
