super compact 18650 LED flashlight with usefull high output runtime
Folomov 18650s is the most compact 18650 flashlight in my collection. It seems like that flashlight is built around the microUSB rechargeable battery that comes with the light. Unfortunately, this flashlight light will only work with button top battery and not the flat top battery.Folomov 18650s is using nichia 219D bulb. While not achieving high CRI as 219C bulb, this 219D seems to be very efficient with yellowish/orange tint. Using the included rechargeable 2600mAh I was able to run the light in at 900lumen a little over 3 hrs until the light gradually dimmed to un-useful low light. The smooth reflector gives this light a good distant throw of 100+ meters. Heat management is decent. Running the light at 900 lumen the flashlight will get hot but not uncomfortable even after 20-30min in bare hand.The microUSB rechargeable is very useful for travel without carrying an extra battery charger. A near depleted battery will need about 4 hrs to completely charge. A little patient is needed.Another unique feature is the light has 2 modes to choose from: daily mode or tactical mode. Clicking the tail switch quickly will change between the modes. Daily mode allows user to cycle between 5 light level settings and strobe function and tactical mode allows user to cycle between turbo, strobe, SOS, and beacon. Last setting memory is only available in daily mode.Folomov 18650s’s compact design with balanced light output and useful long runtime makes it a great choice for everyday carry flashlight.

Like a little Sun that fits in your pocket...
The warmer color of the Nichia emitter is definitely something remarkable when compared to other cool white emitters like most Cree. This light is like a little Sun that fits in your pocket than you can take out and light up any room or area you like and with 900 lumens, it does so quite well. This light provides a much truer daylight feel and the light looks and feels warmer and the colors it illuminates seem truer and more vibrant when compared to a cooler light temperature (slightly more blue than yellow) emitter. The flashlight itself is awesome with a great user interface and excellent design and quality. It is now the smallest 18650 light I own (I have oh so very many lights) but still manages a good combination of versatility in terms of power, flood to throw (width of beam vs distance), and usability. It has numerous selectable settings including a tactical/self defense strobe, an S.O.S. flash, and a lighthouse beacon mode and most importantly, it has a lockout feature which is very important because a light this small with a Nichia 219 emitter putting out 900 lumens can not only drain a battery extremely quickly but the light can get VERY hot. Luckily, in addition to the lockout feature, this light also has thermal and over drain protection circuitry in the included 18650 Li-Ion cell as well as a built in micro USB charging port which is just awesome awesome (the battery itself has the charging port built in, not the light, but the battery can also be charged using conventional chargers). This is a perfect light to keep around the house, in your vehicle, in your garage or shop, or carried on your person with the included pocket clip and lanyard. The high CRI warm white Nichia emitter is particularly well suited for spot photography and other hobbies and pursuits where true color illumination is preferred or required. And all this for only for such a low price... The battery alone would go for $15-$20 in stores. Very few stores actually sell Li-Ion 18650s but the ones that do often sell basic low drain unprotected cells without built in charging ports for as much as $15 on their own and this awesome light comes with a super cool micro USB rechargeable battery with built in protection circuit. I have MANY flashlights and I am not aware of anything that can compete with the value, quality, and features of this light at this price point. 10/10, would recommend to anyone.

Excellent budget mini 18650 light, only uses protected button top batteries.
The Good:This light small and well built. Compared to a Zebralight SC64 it's 6mm longer, throws farther, and is ~1/3 the price. Almost as small as some AA lights. The 3000K color temperature rare, and I prefer a more incandescent-like tint.The OK:The interface is much better than the usual low-med-high-strobe-SOS kind. There is a 0.5lm moon and five normal modes: 10, 50, 150, 300, and a 900 lumen turbo (timer step-down). Mode sequence is 1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1 rather than the usual 1-2-3-4-5-1-2-3-4-5, so takes more clicks if you want turbo and miss. It has a 3-30min auto-power-off timer feature that could be useful, and is unique.The Bad:The battery is my main problem with the light. The included button-top cell has a built-in 1A USB charger, and the light is so designed around that battery that it only works with protected button-top cells. I have dozens of unprotected flat-top cells it won't work with.
