The USB connector does not operate the lights, although on battery power, it works fine. No useful instructions given. The decorative kerosene lanterns fall off the light string because, it appears, they are held in place only by pressure fit (no glue). In my set, there was a faulty solder joint on one lamp that I was able to repair. Overall I expected better quality. Mine was a "1" on quality, "4" on appearance but could be a "5" without the issues described

First, these are very tiny. And they are about the cheapest things I have ever seen. They are battery powered (case not waterproof), or you can power them with a USB port. Not the best method for outside use.

These are so fun. We use them for camping and string them either up in trees or on our tent awning. We love them. Can't judge battery life yet - we haven't used them that much.

Adorable BUT faulty wiring makes them work intermittently. You have to jiggle the USB plug. It’s wobbly and doesn’t plug in right. It looks like it’s a little too long? Don’t know.

We LOVE these little lights! So happy and fun. We’ve left them on 4 nights over night and they’re still going on the original batteries!

Liked it but would like an outlet connector rather then a USB.

The plastic is cheap and some came broken

Super cheap, lasted about 2 hours and quit. You pay for what you get. Lesson learned
