Cal.40S&W Bore Sight Laser Red Dot Cartridge Laser bore Sighter with 2 Sets of Batteries

Good fit for 40s&w Carbine. Accurate. Easy to use.
I've read that this does not work well in many pistols, but in my Hi Point 4095 carbine it works well. Chambered several times and laser point was consistent in location on my green dot scope. Was able to get my scope sighted in without firing a shot. Look forward to taking it to the range.

Great to have for sighting on the go.
I like this bore sight, but I am not sure how accurate it is from shipping. There is no certificate of accuracy, and you do not know if the item was dropped during shipping if it is still accurate or not. Otherwise I love this.

Will get you pretty close
Glad they sent extra batteries. Used this to set up red dot on mck for glock 27. Almost perfect at 10 yrds

Not accurate!
I tried to see if the "dot" would stay in the same spot before any adjustments. I 'chambered' the laser about 12 times and marked the dot location (the pistol was in my vice), if it had any accuracy, the dot should remain the same if location. I know my Sig 229 is shooting off after Sig installed (something happen when I tried to remove the 22 conversion kit that caused the the jam hard) the Xray3 site on my pistol still had good grouping very consistent low and to the left about 10 inches at 15 yards. My first siting attempt put the dot dead on with the alignment of the Iron sites, centered on the rings. I then removed the laser, and tried again; now the location looked to be about where I felt it was shooting, removed and chambered again, now centered left to right but about 5 inches high. I did this several times an NEVER got a location of the laser to show he same bore site location. How can you make adjustments if it will not show the same target location when installed in the? Have to find some other way to improve the iron sites. Also, like other reviews, only 2 batteries fill fin, not 3 as instructed. How do you know the laser cartridge is centered?PS: Sig factory fixed my pistol and installed the sites. The Gunsmiths note said the jam was caused by "using an aftermarket spring" that was causing the jam. No, is was the spring for the 22 kit sold by Sig.

Inaccurate
Inaccurate by a margin. No matter what I did, my already on point from the factory G23 was about 9 inches off in any direction at 30 feet. I just needed a positive spot to line up my light/laser. Idk if these are calibrated or just hastily put together and sent. Disappointed.

This product is garbage--do NOT buy it!
The laser is ridiculously inaccurate. At 30' its about 3' off center. the laser draws a 2" circle at about 2' when the body of the boresighter is rotated on its axis (should be a dead point!). The sighter wont seat completely in my S&W M&P which wont allow the slide to close completely. Since the barrel doesnt align until the slide is closed. It is completely useless even if the laser were accurate. The instructions indicate it takes 3 batteries but it only takes two--not a big deal, just speaks to the horrible quality. For some reason, the second time I tried to install the batteries, the laser was extremely dim. After swapping out batteries (and then putting the original ones back in) the laser is once again bright. Again, speaks to poor quality of the internal battery holder/connections. Also, the instructions indicate to turn it off, just unscrew the cap until the laser turns off--this happens after the cap is completely unscrewed and moved so it no longer touches the body of the sighter.Frustrated that Amazon allows this garbage on their site--I am going to a weapons accessory website to buy a real one! Sending this back.
