Easy to use
This tool was recommended to me by my daughter. It easily cuts a neat hole through several pieces of paper on the top of a gift tag . I tie a loop with round waxed thread.

Exactly what I needed
I love that there is a hole cut out so you can see where you are punching.

Finally! A tag hole punch for technicians
Prior to this, my go-to punch was the Fiskars 1/8" - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001DT3ZE As I said, that was in my young and foolish days...before I knew this existed.First impressions - it's heavy. I don't know what the main body is comprised of but it's not ferromagnetic. The handles are smooth and the tool fits my hand quite well. I'm guessing handles are painted - time will tell how fast the coating rubs off. There is a fairly strong spring inside the handles (and that spring IS ferromagnetic) - it feels like something else will fail before the spring will. There is a white plastic lock/release tab that is easily operated. This feels like the cheapest/weakest part of this tool and the likeliest candidate for early failure. If/when that happens I don't think I'll care too much - just means the handles will be open an extra inch when not in use. On the other hand - manipulating that lock & release is almost like a fidget toy so it might break sooner...The punch itself has a simple flat chisel tip - when the handles are fully squeezed closed the full cutting surface protrudes through the base. It's sharp. Initial tests have it cutting paper & cardboard with zero effort - whatever I can stuff into the slot (about 1/8" thick) winds up with a clean hole in it. I'm sure it would work for harder materials including thin sheet metal - but I'd expect the cutter to wear out in such usage. As I wanted a punch for cardboard service tags I'm quite happy with what it does. There exist tools for punching metal (hint: they're called "metal punches" for a reason) so if that's your application look elsewhere. One cautionary note: when squeezed the base of the handles touch each other. That's the actual "stop" of the tool - the punch itself does not bottom out otherwise. The way the handles conform to my hand I don't anticipate a problem - but maybe someone with smaller hands would leave a pinky finger in between them. I think that would actually take conscious effort (it certainly does for me) but that would be quite painful if it occurred. On the front of the tool is a painted white dot indicating the hole position. However, as the tool pivots in use this dot shifts in position during the stroke. Don't guess - just flip the tool over and use the exposed hole for precise positioning. In fact the instructions on the package show just that.Overall I'd say there are two things I'd like to see changed for a more "pro" version - first, replacing the plastic locking tab with metal. Second - provide a ring where a lanyard could be attached. With the exception noted above this feels like the perfect technician's hole punch. Time will tell regarding it's longevity - reviews from others leave me hopeful.

Best out there
Legit the only kind I use for my business as it’s amazing and works flawlessly

Industrial quality
I have been using these for months now to punch holes in 100# paper. This punch can easily go through 3 sheets of it at a time, and has shown no issues (except the odd squeak once in a while) in literally thousands of uses. The cast metal body is solid and heavy, and seems to last far better than the stamped metal bodies other punches have. For the price, these are the best you can buy. Highly recommended.

Heavy duty!
Previously I was using a cheap hole punch from the craft store to punch literally thousands of holes into hang tags for my business. My hands HURT, and I could only do two at a time. When I eventually wore it out I decided it was time to purchase something better. For only a few bucks more than I originally spent on the cheap craft store hole punch I bought myself one of these bad boys. Holy smokes, this baby is heavy duty. It punches through bunches of my hang tags at once and even advertises that it'll go through 'thin metals' What!? It's awesome! Would absolutely recommend & will absolutely repurchase when I wear it out - although I'm sure it won't be for a loooong time.

I bought the wrong size :(
I bought the wrong size and missed the return deadline. It seems sturdy and works well, but I wish I had a better understanding of the measurements before I had ordered.

Very well made and works well
Product came quickly and is very well made; easy to use. I love the feature that allows you to see exactly where you are positioning the hole. Smaller hole, perfect for gift tags. FYI opening is 3/8th" wide which is fine for paper. Very nice handle size for a "smaller" hand. I haven't used it much yet but I don't expect any problems.

Sturdy Punch
I use this punch to make mini albums from scrapbook paper. It's very sturdy and strong and easily punches through six sheets of 200gsm paper at a time.

Quality and built like it will last
Excellent hole puncher - I have tried other ones, and they feel cheap and flimsy - this one looks like it will last a long time. The puncher can be flipped over as instructed, so that you have more precision with you hole punching and you can see exactly where the hole will land. Yes, it is more expensive than the rest, but this is an example of a quality product.

Punches above its weight
This punch was just the thing I needed for punching holes into light sheet metal, it was vet easy to operate and will last a lifetime.I would recommend this punch if you need to use on lightweight sheet metal or other materials.
