Awesome yields
Once they began growing, I had bitter melons coming out of my eras!! Nothing stops the vine from growing/producing except frost. If you live in zone 10, you might have bitter melons all year. I found that they do better by direct sowing; it takes longer for the seeds to sprout but the plants grow faster than germinating the seeds in jiffy pots. Make sure your soil is rich in humous and composted manure.

Bountiful harvest!
This is a great buy. Out of 12 seeds, 9 germinated. I live in New York, zone 7. I started sowing seeds indoor early April and planted in to the ground around 3rd week of May. I use Espoma bio-tone starter fertilizer when I planted them. Amended the soil with a good compost and dehydrated manure. Make sure to provide a good sized trellis, vines are just out of control (I also pruned them to produce quality and bigger fruits) they keep flowering and it bears a lot fruits. I started harvesting in middle of July until the first frost hits. Highly recommend it.

Read every review before purchasing
Word of advice is to read EVERY review before total commitment. I knew the risk of purchasing these seeds. I knew the reviews mentioned slow to no sprouting. I knew what I was getting into. I truly honestly wanted to grow bitter melon this year and if I got one sprout I'd be happy.Do some in depth research, sprouting these guys is an insane procedure! I only got 2 to sprout out of the entire container. I fully expected a container of duds. If I can get these 2 to grow and produce fruit, I will have paid for the seeds in full.

Miricle Melon
Only about 6 seeds germinated but robust plants resulted. This is a staple of My wires family in the Philippines. Very nutricious and considered to be the longivity plant.

All seeds sprouted.
After soaking them in water for 24 hours, I did the paper towel method and planting them directly in the potted mixed soil. It took 3-4 days for them to germinate. All the seeds sprouted and they’re growing well now.

First time succeed with bitter melon
This is the first time I was able to germinate the bitter melon seeds (3 seeds growing into 3 plants) using Jiffy method. Thanks the reviewers I went ahead and purchase it. I always failed with the seeds I got at local stores and even on Amazon from different seller. Recommended.

Mine didn't perform that well
My package contained 12 seeds, which I germinated according to the directions on the package. Being in Wisconsin, there's no way to achieve the stated "germination temperature" of 80-90 degrees F outdoors and still have enough summer remaining to harvest a crop, so I germinated them inside, in an incubator held at 81-83 degrees F. Only six of 12 seeds germinated, and only four of those plants were vigorous enough to be worth planting outside. But those four look good so far. My low "star" rating reflects my feeling that the price I paid was too high for only four seedlings.
