Just got it today Oct 19, 2016. Very pleased so far with this item.Could be maybe stronger in the neck. The metal post is a very strong rod with a rubber like coating. So when you try and bend it, it is quite difficult but stays where you put it. I would say to support the suction cup end when bending. Seemed to loosen slightly at the suction cup end. I was hoping not to break it but it only seems plastic at the ends. Doesn't look like it can take too much and you have to use quite a bit of force to bend it. I put it in the best position I could find. I must have moved it about 20 times trying to figure out that spot. The suction cup works very well and has a lever. The round connector is kind of tough to put in place. The best method I came up with is put it flat on the table and push downward onto the round connector (make sure the nut is tight first). Trying to put the circle piece on the ball and free floating just didn't work well for me. So I put the circle piece of the table and pushed straight down and had no problem. Those are a little tough when you first try them. They break in. Seems pretty strong.

Using with a garmin nuvi57LMT. At first I auctioned it to window directly below rear view mirror with arm extended straight out. That left gps just a few inches from my face. Plenty close enough to reach but felt like I was in front row of a movie theatre. I opted to bring it down to bottom edge of windshield to where gps rests flat on my dash. Gps doesn't block my view and mount has not once tried to loosen up or fall off windshield..... even in 90+ Degree weather

Works well provided it's not cold. When the weather is more on the warmer side, the suction cup holds fine. When it gets below 50, unit will fall. Does the job very well for my Garmin GPS. Suction cup is the reason for the 4 star rating.

Easy to assemble and use. Please note that while the suction to the window is excellent under normal conditions, high temperatures can cause it to lose its grip due to a softening of the suction cup.

The GPS Windshield mount is built like Fort Knox. It’s plenty long and sturdy. A quality item. It has stayed put on the windshield and since it’s longer it moves to screen closer so it’s was to see.

This proved to be a useful mount for my GPS. However, I did not use the suction cup, but rather created a base that fit in a compartment in my car.

Wayyy too long and doesn't bend as well as it looks like.

Received quickly and was exactly what was expected
