The same night I placed my order, Arthur from Renaissance Art emailed me with a question. It was clear from the start, at Renaissance Art you aren't just a number dealing with a company. The whole transaction was pleasantly personable and lightning fast.I chose the rustic Flight Jacket cover for my large Moleskine notebook. The smell of the leather is wonderfully rich and the feel is warm and authentic. The genuine supple leather fits my notebook like a glove; I just love to hold it in my hands. The three initials spelling my nickname are a nice personal touch.I first put my hardcover sketch book with the thicker pages in the leather sleeve. It was a perfect fit. Then I put the soft cover plain notebook with the thinner pages in there,and it also fits perfectly. That's the beauty of true craftsmanship and real, quality leather. It molds and cradles the notebook each time seamlessly.The small slit on the right inside of the cover is a smart solution for those who prefer to use the Moleskine elastic strap. I am such a person and I really like it.Is there a downside to having purchased the perfect gift for myself. Of course! It makes you kind of `greedy.' As soon as I felt and smelled the cover, I knew I wanted more. For myself and to give away as a present to special friends. I'm extremely pleased with the friendly, professional service and the product. In case you can't decide what color to buy, you can't go wrong with the rustic Flight jacket one. Upon finding this online and finding it to be quite expensive considering the simplicity of the item I decided to order as there was really no other options.When I received it the leather was of good quality but I instantly noticed a stitching defect. I contacted the seller and they admitted that it was not only a mistake but that it also shouldn't have been sent out that way and offered to just fix it.When I emailed back to pursue the fix and suggest also to replace it I never heard back. A second email also went without reply which is a totally unacceptable business practice. The seller website touts painless return or fixes but it appears to be just lip service.This isn't a complicated leather product and certainly for the price I at least expect the stitching to be correct and not sent out with a defect especially given the price. I definitely don't expect emails to go unheeded.

I have been using the large Moleskine weekly planner for a few years now, and it has been nearly perfect for me. I did occasionally look around for a different style planner though, namely because I wanted something with a leather cover. On a whim I decided to search for "leather cover for Moleskines" and one of the options that came up was this one from Renaissance Art. I liked the look of it, and Iiked what others had to say about it. I received my cover in a few business days, and I'm very pleased with it. It fits my large weekly planner like a glove, and has a thin opening to allow for the Moleskine's elastic closure to be functional. I can also still access the Moleskine's inside pocket. My planner now has a really stylish look to it rather than just being the boring black book I've become so accustomed to over the years. The leather has a really supple feel to it as well. It's soft and has lots of give, yet provides a nice tidy fit for the planner. I'm definitely going to buy the smaller cover for a pocket-sized Moleskine as well. The only question is what color to choose...

Wow. I must have looked at all sorts of journals over the past 60 days but just could not come up with a better journal than the moleskine. The only issue was that I really wanted a leather-covered journal. After finally deciding for function over form, I found this seller and their reasonably-priced cover. I just installed it on my journal and simply cannot stop admiring the workmanship and feel of the cover. The initial fit is tight, which should settle in just fine as the leather stretches. With a little luck, this will be the last cover I purchase and I'll simply get a new moleskine refill each year. Wow. Now I have both form AND function. I like that.

Where has this been all my life? I recently started using Moleskine notebooks about a year ago and thought they looked great. As I began to discover leather covers I realized how much greater it could look, but all quality looking leather covers were overpriced. Renaissance Art's cover is reasonably priced and I don't think you get much more quality than this! The flight jacket color is beautiful. This thing smells as good as it looks!

This is a nice cover for my Moleskin. I have an unhealthy relationship with soft leather products and this fulfills it. It goes on very tight, which turned out to be a good thing.
