Solid Umbrella for a Rainy Environment
This is truly a solid umbrella. I live in a climate that rains hard for a short period of time every day and I trust this umbrella to do the job. It has a wide coverage area and when wet stands tall until it dries. My only complain is the Velcro strap that ties it together is situated right in your viewing area when you grab the handle grip and walk. It's a little annoying. I am not sure if it is something that could be moved around to the back, but with the handle shaped to hold you hand, it is not easy to move it around. Excellent product overall.

Well made umbrella
So I haven't actually had a chance to use this thing in the rain yet, but I definitely like the construction of this thing. It's well built and the mechanism works wells with no hitches or other issues I have had with traditional umbrellas in the past. I did a small wind test with a beefy fan I have at my home and it did NOT want to become the large annoying sail that my past ones have. This one stays in the car, and I plan to get a travel one for my desk. Looking forward to actually using it in the rain soon.

"LIFETIME REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE" equals NO guarantee!
This is a great product, but the whole "LIFETIME REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE" equals no guarantee!I've owned this umbrella for almost two years now with no issues. However, one of the metal tips that secure the double canopy in place recently snapped. I'm not sure how the damage occurred, but now the bottom layer of the canopy is hanging loose. I don't believe the product is defective. This is likely something caused by human error. My issue is not with the umbrella, but with customer service. I reached out to them inquiring about repair services, and to my surprise, they responded within 24 hours. Their response was, "Thank you for reaching out! At this time, we do not offer repair services. However, in regards to our Replacement Guarantee, if anything happens to your product simply reach out to us thru this email providing your Order Number and state the issue. From there, we will send you a replacement product free of charge (with no return required)."I replied the following day, but I never heard back! I followed up eight days later requesting a status update, only to be ignored. Eight more days later, I still have not received a response or a replacement!Honestly, if I didn't qualify for a replacement, I would've been fine. But some professional courtesy would've been nice! As much as I love this umbrella, this whole ordeal left a terrible taste in my mouth. So much so that I find it difficult paying for a replacement, something that I would've gladly done before being neglected.

Excellent Quality - Great Concept
I have been using the inverted umbrellas for a while now and really find them handy when our heavy rains come in South Florida. However, the "C" type handle isn't always the best way for me to carry an umbrella so I was specifically looking for a different type of handle for an inverted umbrella and happily found this on Amazon. As a nice bonus, the umbrella is sturdily constructed. It opens and closes easily and comes with a handy nylon case you can put over your shoulder to carry the umbrella when it stops raining. Overall, a great value for the price.

Easy exit from automobile
Because of how it opens, this umbrella is great for when you're exiting your car. You just stick it out, open it, and the umbrella opens from the tip end, and out. This one is well made. It has two layers, can you believe that? and the handle is rubberized and ergonomic, like a bicycle handle. And when you close it, the wet side of the umbrella closes inwards, so no splashing and getting your other items wet.

The velcro strap needs to be on the back of the umbrella.
There is a velcro strap that holds the material tight when it is stowed. On a regular umbrella, this is on top of the umbrella when in use. But on a reverse umbrella, it dangles down while using the umbrella. This would not be a problem if it was in the rear of the umbrella, but the grip of the handle makes you hold it in one direction, and so the strap is dangling in front of your face. Very distracting and not a good look if you're meeting someone. You could tie it up each time you use the umbrella, but that takes two hands making the umbrella very un-handy. I'm going to try removing it and sewing it on the back of the umbrella, but I have doubts about this since the underside of the umbrella seems like a more fragile material than the top. Speaking of which, because this underside material is on the outside when folded because of the reverse-umbrella design, I worry about it tearing when I am carrying the umbrella folded up.Repel should fix this design with the strap in front.

Customer Service
Beautiful crafted umbrella aside from a little problem that could of happened during transit? Customer support was really helpful and promised to replace the one we received. Other than that, I must admit my wife really likes the way its constructed and trusts the replacement will be the answer. It's stylish and appears to be strong enough to handle winds that would normally break ordinary umbrellas. Once the new one arrives and mother nature dumps some good O rain, I will be sure to post another review to share my wifeys opinion. Thanks
