PERFECT for my 2015 Honda CRV!
I saved myself $1,300 by not getting a factory GPS in my 2015 Honda CRV EXL. So I picked up a Garmin Nuvi 6" GPS, which works fine, but was difficult to see when using the windshield mount, even when trying it down inside the data window scoop. The sun wiped out the screen and it was very frustrating. So first I got a nice sun shield for it, which helped somewhat, but I was still not satisfied, especially with the awkward location of it. So we looked for a different kind of mount in the hope it would help, and found this. This little mount didn't look like much when it arrived, and I was skeptical. It didn't work in the left or left-center vents, interfering with a lot because of the wider 6" screen size. Then we tried it in the RIGHT-center vent. AMAZING! PERFECT LOCATION! It sits there well-secured, the bottom support fitting my dash perfectly and handling the extra weight of the 6" unit, and the GPS easily swivels in all directions on the ball mount. No interference with either of the data windows; no more problem with the sun; no cord dangling around the steering wheel; so easy to reach, so easy to read, and no interference with the passenger. Not noticeable from outside, either, especially after I hang my hat over it. I am satisfied in every way. SO GLAD I GOT THIS! Thank you Trek, and Amazon for an amazing product!

Works well, but not in all vehicles
We are using this with a Garmin 2689LMT, which is a 6 inch GPS.I selected this unit because of the ability adjust for either horizontal or vertical vents. In a 2010 RAV4 (horizontal), it works great in the center vents. The GPS ends up at a good height, and is much more reachable than on the windshield. On reasonable roads, the units remains steady. Driving on the cratered roads in NYC, there is some bounciness, but it is acceptable. Also tried this in a 2007 G35, which has vertical vents. It does not work in that case. Even though the mount can be rotated to match the vertical vanes, the stabilizer foot ends up hanging in mid air. It really needs a fair amount of top to bottom slope of the vent for everything to line up. It would nice if the arm that clips to the vane was adjustable for length.Still, it is a good device, just be aware that your results may vary.

Great little mount
Great little mount. I have only used it on horizontal vents so am not sure about vertical vents but it should work. The attachment part is made from metal so not too worried that it will break. I ordered two... one for my Garmin and another for an older tomtom. The tomtom also had a ball mount. The garmin mounted right up but the tomtom had a smaller ball configuration. it was a challenge but I was able to remove the ball from the new mount and put it into a lathe and reduce the size of the ball and so now it works on my tomtom also. I couldn't recommend doing this unless you are fairly mechanical and able to disassemble and reassemble small parts with little springs, catches etc. The only con is that it projects out from the vent a little further than I like. But this is not a deal breaker at all and I may even find it to be of a pro nature after I have it for a while. The plastic parts seem to be made with higher quality plastic.

Happy Buyer
I bought this for a 2008 Acura MDX and a Garmin Nuvi 2597LMT 5" unit. I mounted it to the center vent and it was very easy to install, it readily hooks onto the back of the vent, the steel spring holds it securely, the legs position it to the bottom of the vent and the GPS looks like it belongs there. There is no rocking of the GPS, it is held very stable and it took me a minute to install. Honestly for under $10, you cannot go wrong with this mount for your Garmin and a 2008 Acura MDX.I would highly recommend it and I really don't understand the people who says it broke their vents. I don't know how they can break things with this very simple mount. No brainer buy it, install it, love it. So easy to take with me now on trips and for traveling.

Kept my phone from overheating in the summer sun while running navigation
Bought this as my phone was overheating in the summer using a dash mount. So far so good in avoiding overheating of phone while navigating, keeps it out of the sun and with AC on it keeps the phone cool. It's good that it has a spring loaded hook end to securely attach to the vent louvers. Was able to attach to lower part of the vent to avoid blocking ac for passenger. Negative is as vents are lower looking at phone for directions is a slight long view away from the road. But compared to not having navigation, this is a well worth compromise.

It is very easy to put on and take off and we are ...
This Garmin Nuvi air vent mount fits perfectly in both our new Ford Taurus and in our Mercury Grand Marquis. It is very easy to put on and take off and we are able to easily move it from one car to the other without any difficulty. The Garmin bracket fits as snugly on the new ball as it did on the original one. Since I don't like placing the GPS on the windshield it was just about the only option we had for the Taurus and when in place it will not fall off as occasionally happened with the suction cup we previously used with the Grand Marquis. The vent is a much more convenient and safer location than high on the windshield and not as obvious to potential thieves. It also holds well when traveling over a variety of different road surfaces.

i.Trek IG-A07 Garmin Nuvi vent mount
The i.Trek IG-A07 seems to be stable and perform its function better than previous mounts that don't have a dual stabilizing mount or foot pad. However, it does stick out quite a ways (at least an inch further than the i.Trek IG-A03). A more compact mount would look much better and not be so vulnerable to unwanted contact. I ordered both, in case of mounting issues. I would have preferred the IG-A03 for its more compact mount design, but with my best efforts I could not get it to latch over the depth of the vent blades on the left outboard side of my 2013 Lexus "ES-model". So, for my vehicle, I'd say the IG-A07 is best for the task.
