Men Packable Lightweight Down Vest Outdoor Puffer Vest

I bought this for my husband. He loves it. It is warm. It is light, not bulky or heavy. It comes with a bag that you can fold it in. To carry it with you. Happy with it. He is a very active person. And it has held up pretty good.

For years I had a Columbia down vest and loved it because it was super warm yet you can move your arms, and it fit over a sweatshirt to give you more warmth without feeling bulky. Unfortunately I lost it, so I ordered this one based on reviews, the description, and price. It's a definite winner, especially for what you pay. This was $30 while my Columbia one was $80, and that was about 17 years ago. This vest will definitely keep you warm, but it's not for extremely cold weather. There is elastic lining around the arm holes and the waist, so it fits nice and tight in those areas keeping cold air out. It's very lightweight for how warm it is. The storage bag comes attached to the vest inside around the neck area, but I cut it out and kept the bag which is very small & convenient. As far as fit goes I'm 6' about 230 lbs and usually wear a XXL shirt, but I wanted this to fit a little more snug to stay warm. It's not too small at all, and it fits over a regular sweatshirt no problem. A XXL probably would have fit me but wouldn't have been as warm. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a warm, comfy, and affordable vest.

I was kind of worried that the vest would be as cheap as the price. Not so! Seems to be high quality. Fits well. Very light and space saving. Can be compressed to about softball size. The pockets are very deep and warm. The collar is high and fits perfectly and is neither too tight or too loose. It's pretty nice looking too.The only problem is the zippers tend to get stuck on fabric and jammed. If you can remember to zip and unzip slowly, the problem is solved. This is a perfect thing to have in your backpack to provide additional warmth. Don't be afraid of the price. One of the best deals I've gotten.

I gave this vest 5 stars mainly because of value for the price. Sure, you can get a better one from the big name guys, but you pay tons more. This vest is a good one to have because you don't have to be careful all the time because of how much it cost. The shell & lining is light weight nylon. You don't want to get too rough because it would probably tear. Casual activity fine though. Fill claims 90% down, 10% feather,650 fill power. I just got this thing & so far, the loft seems OK & even. The zipper works great on this one. So many "Made in China" stuff has JUNK for zippers, but this one is a good one. Overall build & sewing is very good, no feather leaks any place. I have a Cabelas down vest that I know is more durable & warmer, but it cost a whole lot more & it won't pack down nearly as small as this one. The size runs pretty true. I normally take a Large shirt, or sweatshirt & I almost got a Large. But I knew I'd be wearing this over a sweatshirt most of the time, so I ordered an Extra Large. I'm glad I did, because the Large would have been a little snug on my torso & the length is still perfect.

I've been wearing this vest daily for the past 6 months and as far as comfort, warmth, portability go, it's excellent and there is certainly a reason I wear it almost everyday. It occured to me however, that after 6 months of nearly daily pocket zipper jams (the pocket zipper gets caught on the fabric wayyyy tooo easy), perhaps there is a better solution out there. I recently purchased the Uniqlo version of this vest and it does NOT suffer from this pocket zipper problem. I should have paid the extra $10 initially and gotten the better quality jacket rather than try to save $10 for an inferior product.Lesson learned!

This is a light weight puffy vest that works just great in those chilly days where the temps are high 40ties and up. I used it as a base layer on top of a t shirt and a 200 grm weight Merino long sleeve high neck zipped pullover. The vest served to keep my chest and back warm, specially when the wind picked up a bit. Very soft and pliable material and packs down into a small bag so for travel it’s perfect. I travel a lot so all my jackets have to be packable so they can fit in my back pack. Another good feature are the zippered side pockets. It had an inner pocket but no zipper. I purchased a small so the fit was slimmer which is what I was looking for. Quality looks good but only time will tell. But for the price no complaints.

I've had this for a year. I carry this in my hiking backpack as an emergency down vest in case a hike takes longer than I expect and I end up with an late nighter or overnighter out in the woods. This is very warm and very packable. I have used it a few times and it's held up fine. The zipper and seams have all held up. I've been very gentle with it, that's probably why it hasn't ripped.But like I said, I use it mainly as an emergency carry-on -- for peace of mind. It can be compacted very small and compacted MUCH SMALLER than the sac that it came with, but I wouldn't recommend doing that for extended periods as it will cause it to lose the fluff permanently. For short periods, no problem. For backpacking, the very compactable down is very desirable. Keeping it very compacted for a few days isn't a problem at all -- it won't permanently lose its fluff. For long term storage, I store it in the sac it came with and it's hasn't been a problem.Love this and the very reasonable price (~25.00).

I really like this vest overall. It is soft, comfortable, light weight, and easily packed. It has exterior zip pockets, and comes with a bag into which the vest can be folded and stuffed.My only gripe is the base of the zipper. It is difficult to make the initial connection where the tip of one side goes into the zipper and base of the other side. Once you accomplish this, the zipper works just like it should, but if you don't get it right then the bottom can separate and "strand" the zipper itself.If the zipper was replaced by a better quality (larger toothed) zipper, this would be 5 stars,
