Eight Sleep Hybrid Mattress Queen White,1st Generation

It's better than what I had. Still have to get something better for my back. I wake up in pain.

We simply LOVE the Eight foamMattress the only reason I have it four stars instead of five is that we expected it to be more memory foam-eque and have a bit of “sinkability” and give. Instead it’s rather firm. Not what you would expect in a foam mattress.The bed is comfortable and is great for those with allergies. I slept well but it was a tad too stiff for my liking. Will this change over time? I can’t say for sure.The mattress comes shrink wrapped in a boxc which is oddly deceiving. Once opened there are literally not instructions except what’s is found in the box which tells you to unwrap the mattress and voila. There was also one direction about finding a smaller box and adding the personalization or smart tech to the bed and I have NO idea what that means as we didn’t get a second box.Either way, it plumped up the moment we got it out of the Shrink wrap. We aired the mattress our but it barely needed it. It wasn’t smelly. We Slept on it that same night.Either way, it feels solid and well made Has kept us cool when it’s been hot out and helps keep our body temps regulated I haven’t felt any movement from others while laying on the mattress which is nice.Overall we found the Eight mattress comfortable, priced well, sturdy and of great quality.

Update: after three months, the terrible customer service team is giving me a replacement matress,when I unpacked it and read the instructions, this was for an all foam mattress. I contacted them again and said this was not the mattress I originally ordered, that mine was innerspring and foam hybrid. They said, we don't make that anymore. How do you buy a steak and eggs mattress and when it fails, they try to replace this with just eggs? Plus, looking this up, they are charging 2000 dollars more for this junk, than when I bought it three years ago. They executives in their NYC offices must have gotten excellent bonuses, despite their customer service being in India.Orginal: Mattress sagged after two years. Causing me and my partner horrible back pain. Been trying for several months to get a replacement. Do not buy!

I've been sleeping on a 8 year old Sealy Pillowtop, and I absolutely love it, but I have heard great things about these memory foam mattresses, and it was about time for a new one so I thought Ii'd give this one a try.The products comes shipped in a box, about 48 x 18 x 18, the box looked like it'd been through hell and back, was torn (I could see inside the box) and dented, but the mattress inside was vacuum sealed and undamaged.There was no instructions with the mattress, besides a couple of photos on the box, but I've ordered a mattress before so I kinda knew what to do. Do not use a knife or scissors, just unroll the plastic and unfold. The mattress will take a few hours to expand.The mattress is FIRM, actually too firm for my liking, Our old pillow top felt like you were laying on a cloud, you just sunk in. But with this mattress, you can feel the pressure on your body, almost like its pushing you up, instead of you actually sinking in.I am unable to lay on my back very long, I begin to feel pain on my lower back on this mattress, no big deal since I am a side sleeper, but when on my side, I feel pressure pushing into my ribs. I'll will though fall asleep and stay asleep. But I really miss my old mattress, it had that "ahhhh" feeling when you laid down, this does not. Maybe it will break in with time? maybe myself (155 lbs) and my wife (115 lbs) are too light to actually benefit from the memory foam? Not really sure, but after about a week of sleeping on this mattress, it is not for me.The quality of the mattress is without a doubt top notch, and it did expand to the advertised 10 inches. A soft cushiony mattress is my personal preference, so for that reason i am giving the product 2 stars. This may be the mattress for a person looking for that firm feeling, but I am not. I will continue to sleep on it until I can get another, will update my review here if i notice any changes of the firmness over time.

When I chose this mattress I was a little concerned, as I had never heard of the company before. I looked into them and found out they started out making sleep trackers and used years of data from those in creating their line of mattresses. Knowing this I felt much better about my choice!When this arrived in the mail, the box was so small that it was pretty hard to imagine that it held a mattress! It WAS very heavy though! Upon unpacking the matress it instantly starts to fill out and continues for some time afterwards. This mattress is so comfortable! As you lay on it, it conforms to you. It has excellent height/thickness and is so nice! The mattress this replaced is a pretty new memory foam mattress, but without the additional memory foam pad it wasn’t so great. This mattress is soooo much nicer! Really nice and really comfortable.I really didn’t think anything that was shipped compressed could be all that great, but I am happy to say that I was wrong!

Not happy with this purchase, I sleep on my side and I'm waking up with my hip and shoulders hurting. I bought this so I wouldn't have hip and shoulder pain yet this is no better than my pillow top mattress. I expect I'll be returning this before the trial period ends. I'm sorry to say I can't recommend this product!
