This Balance Me Christmas gift set includes just the vitamin C serum and the collagen boost moisturizer. I've actually tried the vitamin C serum before and I really like it - it has a light creamy texture and absorbs really nicely, doesn't leave any tackiness behind on the skin like some other vitamin C serums I've used.The moisturizer I hadn't tried before - it took some work to get the pump going the first time, and the instructions are to only use 1 pump - which seemed like a TINY amount for a moisturizer, but it's lightweight and spreads easily - but also feels very moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated with absolutely NO oiliness or greasiness!Both products come in recyclable glass pump-top bottles - which I appreciate over plastic, however it does make it tricky to get the last of the product out of the bottle once it gets low enough that the pump starts sputtering!

Having mature combination skin, I've had more than my share of problematic issues with my skin while also trying to keep it properly moisturized. Now I'm somewhat beyond that phase, but still need to be careful. This set seems to be as though it would be especially good for those who have combination skin who are trying to work both ends of the spectrum at the same time.One of the reasons that I say that is because I've noticed that there's something about the smell of these that strikes me as them containing some sort of an ingredient meant to control and heal problematic areas. It has a hint of that medicinal smell. Not pleasing to my nose, but it's mild and goes away quickly. Plus, if it is helpful in that regard, it can be well worth putting up with.Each of the products work well to condition the skin. Leaves it feeling soft and smooth and looking healthy. Adds moisturization without leaving unwanted residuals along the surface of the skin.Though I can get past the smell easily enough, the one thing that I was not pleased about was that it irritated my eyes. Rarely do I have any such issues with any sort of skincare products. Not even eye creams and serums. But something about this worked its way into my eyes and caused them to sting a little and water up at times. This went on for hours. Pretty sure it's whatever it was that I was smelling. From now on, I'll make sure that I only use this on parts of my face that are far from the eye areas. Hopefully, you won't have the same fate.As noted, this seems to be best for those with oily to slightly dry skin. Can easily enough be used on all skin types, but it does seem to be better for those who need to make sure that they don't over moisturize and need to address problematic issues. Good for both men and women alike.

Balance Me Christmas Gift Set Plump + Brighten is a full-sized serum and moisturizer set, packaged in time for the holiday season. I have a heavy season of decorating and entertaining, and my skin is showing my lack of sleep and dehydration. Enter this set, which I used for the past few days to great success, after irritating my skin; washing, drying, standing over the oven, running errands, weather changes, etc. My skin was dry, sensitized, peeling. It had been in great shape prior to the weekend, but those days wreaked havoc on my facial skin.Voila! This set arrived, and I decided to try it, although it was right in the middle of a busy schedule (I like to wait until I have a day or two without too many people-heavy visits in case a product doesn't work and my skin gets even more irritated!). However, these two products not only helped moisturize my skin, but my skin appeared more luminous and radiant, over a day or two. I am really pleased!This serum in this set feels gel-like, and I tap it into my skin. The moisturizer isn't very thick, but feels very emollient. The instructions given are for one pump (which honestly doesn't seem like much, but that's all that was required) to cover my full face and throat. Both smell slightly citrusy. It's not a very strong scent, and it dissipates very quickly.I would recommend this. I plan on using it as party of my regular rotation, especially when my skin needs a strong dose of healing hydration.

The box it shipped in looked very much like a Christmas set, and was packaged nicely. The product has mostly good ingredients, and the bottles themselves seem high quality. I don't know that it works any better than my usual routine, but it does work some.
