Do NOT overdo it! Less is more when you're using this!
Update 2: I had some leftover Nair I decided to go ahead and use on my legs, and messed up and got some chemical burns (I decided to try and do both legs at the same time and kept getting distracted, so it was left on for too long). It took a long while to recover from and when I tried using this product afterword's it made my skin raw, and I mean it took a *long* time until I could use this product without it making my skin raw again. I think this could be why a lot of women are also experiencing razor burn if also following the directions exactly. If you are using ANYTHING else that exfoliates your skin, from a chemical exfoliant/hair remover to a sugar scrub, give your skin time to recover and build up before using this product or decide on which you would like to use more. This product will exfoliate your skin and if it is already exfoliated or being exfoliated, you will then exfoliate yourself raw. I wait until I have a half inch of hair on my legs before I use this again, less is more.Update: I didn't actually find it worked any better in the shower on my legs, still had a few stubborn hairs that I left alone so I didn't make my skin raw. I did find that the water kind of lubricated the skin and the exfoliation felt gentler and nicer on the skin due to that. I have folliculitis and opening my follicles with the water, exfoliating, then locking in the moisture by lotioning after, virtually got rid of my folliculitis! I have never actually had no spots on my skin in my life, it doesn't feel real and I never ever in a million years would have thought a simple affordable Amazon product could do this for me! My one complaint is relatively minor and more specifically to the legs, it's difficult to explain but I have a dip in my leg between my leg bone and my calf muscle, because of how wide this tool is I have a really hard time getting in there to get hairs, I have to relax my leg muscle completely which is really really hard to do in the shower standing up and trying to hold your balance, so I think I will continue to just use this product dry to get around this issue.I tried this product as soon as I recieved it. It does an incredible job at exfoliating, similar to using a pumice stone but much gentler and more fine in how it exfoliates. However I have noticed it does not seem to work as well dry, I know per manufacturer's instructions they say to use it wet, I was hoping I could use it dry because I have physical limitations that make bending in the shower difficult, but I will say the dry results aren't super awful or terrible, they are simply not perfect. I see quite a few hairs left behind though they've been cut down by like half, and I only notice them if I'm really sitting down and looking for them, I really doubt anyone would notice if you were out walking around, and it removes enough hair to still give the overall appearance of looking shaved, it's not like the removal is spotty or anything, there were just a few stubborn hairs for me (and I have very thick hair). In an effort to make it perfect, I also over exfoliated my skin and made my folliculitis very angry, as soon as I felt the stinging and pain I stopped immediately and slapped on some Goldbond Eczema lotion and while the folliculitis is still a bit red, things have calmed down quite a bit so I managed to avoid the worst of it. So word of caution, don't be like me, if you see some hairs left behind let them be, it's not the end of the world, exfoliating yourself raw will be though! This was just on my arms, I am going to try doing my legs in the shower and will report how that goes! I'm expecting it to go better with the water allowing the exfoliation to go smoother and maybe the hair will be less stubborn due to that.

I’m Glad I bought this!!!
This product is amazing. It does take time to remove hair (used it in my unshaved legs , with long thin hair and worked amazingly) but I like that because it also worked as deep exfoliator (I had so much death skin!!!), doubled the benefits. Can not believe is less than 4 stars, maybe some competitors are playing dirty!? I’m so glad I bought it despite this low rating. Now will see how long it last, but so far Soooo good!!!

An affordable alternative - but at a cost
The short story: It works! This is a nifty little tool that is a great alternative to traditional hair removal, such as waxing and shaving. Low maintenance and simple, which seems to be a rarity these days. At this price point, it's a lot of bang for your buck - especially if the alleged use being up to 3 years rings true. But you do have to ask yourself if you're willing to put in the work (because this thing will ABSOLUTELY make you work), be patient, and spend more time than you would on methods like waxing or shaving. Honestly I liked this product a lot, and ended giving it 4 stars instead of the 3 I thought it deserved initially because practice does in fact lead to improvement. Overall, not a bad investment! The longer, more detailed story: When I say this thing is nifty, I mean it is Nifty. The concept of etched glass to remove hair us fascinating to me, and I wonder why it took so long for me to hear about something like this. I decided to give it a try, and am happy that I did so. Like I said before - it works. But that being said, it certainly isn't for everyone. For starters, this tool takes a lot of energy and time - especially with the first few (or several) uses. It will take longer than shaving and longer than waxing because it takes a lot of work. Which makes sense given the instructions and concept. Small circles over the expansive surface of your legs/arms/chest/whatever you fancy to be smooth takes a while, and when you're figuring just how much pressure to apply so you can remove hair but not remove that top layer of skin... expect to clear your schedule for your first attempt. But if you decide to purchase, chin up. Practice will take you far, I promise! Once you figure out the delicate balance of pressure that works for you, it'll be an enjoyable experience. It does make your skin silky smooth, as it exfoliates and buffs your skin as you go over it. I definitely get to the point where I ask my partner to FeEl HoW SoFt My LeGs ArE. Especially since I am someone who removes the hair on my legs when it suites my fancy - I might go months without removing hair or I can do it weekly (more like every other day with my growth honestly) - it just depends on my mood. So this tool is a great option for me. I can keep it in a dry place and it will be ready when I am - whether that's on a few days or a few months. No need to worry about having a sharp razor at hand or booking and appointment with the talented but also extremely intimidating cerologist at my favorite salon. My hair also likes to grow in ways that leads to ingrowns, which are very uncomfortable and unsightly. In the weeks that I've owned this crystal eraser, I've found that my ingrown hairs have reduced and that my hair even grows in finer in some places. It also comes in less rapidly than when I have shaved and waxed in the past. But while this product has suited my needs, this all leads to my second con - this thing is not the easiest on skin. You will definitely "burn" yourself if you apply to much pressure and the unfortunate fact is that this is so easy to do. All it takes is a few stubborn hairs and a little impatience for you to end up with a patch of scoured skin because you went over the spot more than you should have. If you have a condition that makes your skin thinner, sensitive, and/or makes wounds slower to heal that is something you have to consider before using. I have dry skin, so regular exfoliation is nice for the feel, but on the other hand I have to be very careful not to "burn" myself as I heal very slowly. I have done it twice now and it is NOT a good sensation. And then there is the work that's involved... good grief. A true reminder of the fact that simple does not always mean easy. You are going to need a lot - A LOT - of elbow grease. Thick, coarse, and/or long hair will test your patience. This is true whether you try a wet or dry removal process. Removing the hair when your skin is wet makes it less likely that you will scour yourself, but makes it harder to see the hair removed and get a good grip to make your skin as taunt as possible. Removing the hair when your skin is dry gives you a better look at what you're able to remove, but is pretty messy. You will have a lot of dead skin that doesn't clump as it would in water, leading to a lot of dust. It might look like you were sawing a plank in two rather than smoothing out your legs, I'm going to be honest. And last but not least, a quarrel I have with this tool is that I don't believe that is as versatile as it is marketed as. Obviously hair removal on your legs is a good use for it, that's what my entire review has revolved around. But personally I would not use this on other parts of my body. I don't remove hair on my arms, but with how sensitive my skin is on those limbs of mine I wouldn't risk it. This would likely damage the skin on your chest if you're of the softer variety - think breasts and skin that isn't super taunt in that area. I couldn't speak on using this on my back as I've never even attempted to remove hair from there, but to have someone do so for you seems like an ultimate test of trust. I'd rather do new hire icebreakers! The instructions (though very limited) state and I've seen other reviews say as much - Do NOT use this on thin and sensitive skin like your face. It is way more likely that you will hurt yourself than get that smooth texture you see on social media. I would avoid using this tool on your underarms and genital areas as well. This tool is hard to use on the backs of my thighs because my sensitivity, to use it between them where im even more sensitive? YOUCH!In summary, I liked this tool as it was a great fit for me but I recognize that it is not a miracle worker. It is at a fantastic price point if it's as durable and has the longevity that they claim, but if you're looking for something quick and easy you should look elsewhere.

Great for removing those hairs you missed in the shower
Didn’t expect that much from this, got it cause I always cut myself ( little nicks ) with shaving. I was able to get hair off my missed spots, knees and shins without any trouble. Also did a quick pass on my arms ( cause I live in Florida where there isn’t any long sleeve season ) and hair was gone. Easy and convenient.

Miracle hair remover
I had doubts about this product but for the price I decided to try it. This does everything exactly as advertised. I love it! It exfoliates my legs as its is removing hair. I have smooth soft legs once I am done. Try it. You won’t be disappointed. I have recommended this to all my friends and coworkers. So easy to use. Getting more value from the job it does compared to the price. It is worth every penny.
