The Famous Claddagh symbol originated in the tiny village of Claddagh, Co. Galway, situated on Irelands western shores. Although largely isolated from the remainder of the country, this village provided inspiration for the Claddagh ring and has become recognisable across the world. This item encompases this famous symbol, now created and crafted using 7 different types of wood for use as a photo frame in the home. This item is made using a process known as Intarsia which is the ancient art of making pictorial mosaics by laying precious and exotic woods onto a solid wood surface.
