This is nice. In short, minimal foreign materials, nice quality. I split a 2.2 brick and tossed it into a 5 gallon bucket and added about 2 gallons of hot water. Good time to add cal-mag and some weak fertilizer. The smell is pleasant and somewhat like spinach. When I soaked to saturation, took out snowball sized chunks and squeezed out the excess. I sorted them by hand removing the straw parts that you may or may not want to keep for structural. When fluffed a half a brick filled a 5 gallon bucket with really nice short moss pieces. I let it sit overnight covered and in the morning had a bucket full of high quality material to begin with. Its nice material, I'd buy it again just to have it on hand. Its not long fiber but it is high quality mid sized pieces ideal for root poles. No complaints. A 2.2 would give you about 8-10 US gallons per brick of fluffed, saturated and ready to go moss. Keep this in mind when taking a flake off the brick. It expands almost like foam.

This is a good mix for re-potting your Orchids. When i opened the package I thought there was not much material. However, once you break it up and make sure it is well crumbled and loose, there is plenty. I suggest you moisten the material before you insert your plant, this stuff is difficult to manipulate until you do. Afterwards, soak the pot, material and plant in the water for a few minutes, then let the excess water drain off. One of my orchids went into a bit of shock after the move but the other seemed to get a growth spurt. I have no idea how or why but you might expect it. Good luck!

I’m glad I went ahead and ordered this, even though I did see some poor reviews regarding the quality. I don’t know what they were complaining about because I am very happy with the quality of this product! At first, I didn’t think there was going to be enough, judging by the size of the package I got, but as you can see after soaking it in water and letting it dry, I have more than enough, lol. It looks like it’s going to be nice and thick and will provide very good drainage for my plants.

It works well so far, but it was rather hard to break apart at first.

I was pleasantly surprised. When I first opened the package I thought I'd made a mistake because it was so compact . It seemed I should have looked for a larger package of moss, but when I wet it it just kept expanding, and was more than enough for the clippings bin I need it for.

Perfect moss. I've repurchase now a couple times. It's healthy and looks good. Definitely high quality. I've never had any issues.

Never purchasing this again. It molded within 3 days. I had to throw it all away and sanitize. I don’t recommend this for snake enclosures.Update: If I could give this lower ratings it would be -10. Customer service reached out to me about my review and I thought they were going to try to make things right. All they did was give me the runaround. They told me to “soak the water out”. That didn’t even make sense. They also told me pretty much use it dry because it’ll mold with humidity. Seriously! That’s what moss is used for. To hold moisture to help with humidity. They expected for me to reuse moldy moss in my snake enclosure when I clearly stated MULTIPLE TIMES that I threw it away. So, they are aware their product molds. They also kept telling me they canceled my order. They never canceled anything. I canceled the subscription delivery after I left the review. Horrible, horrible communication with multiple messages between them and Amazon over the last 24 hours. The $10 is not worth the stress. Save your money and go elsewhere. They will rudely dismiss your concerns by telling you to “have a nice life” before bouncing you to someone else. Even though you never reached out to them to begin with.
