Ombre Gut Health Test Kit, Microbiome at-Home Testing Kit for Personalized Food and Probiotic Recommendations

After a recent bout w Montezuma’s revenge in Mexico, I wanted to check my gut health.After shopping around, ombre was the most effective and easiest to use.Well worth it!!!

Ok I didn't see that after paying $35 per box I needed additional $75 per box to have it tested... just put the full price in !!!! Cant return !! great little scam

The information I received on gut test has been super helpful to me in my quest to better my digestion. Ombré helped me to understand what my microbe deficiencies were and how to fix them with diet and probiotics.

They said it’s cost 25$, when I get it it’s saying on the package 75$ for lab test,so it’s 100$ not 25$

I bought this directly off of their site when they were called Thryve. You submit a pea size fecal sample (if more they will reject), then they send you back a report showing the bacteria you have in your gut, plus you get a report of good/bad foods to replenish your gut. The only reason I gave them 4 stars because their site was hard to navigate taking you thru hoops to get to a sign in, plus the foods to avoid does not always load properly.So, it will tell you what you have what you are deficient in. You won't know or recognize the strange names of both the bacteria in your gut or the probiotics they recommend, but you can always Google them. It is a little confusing because I remember reading somewhere where Firmicutes were supposed to be the good guys and Bacteriodetes are supposed to be the bad guys causing all the bloating and weight gain, yet this site states Bacteriodetes are the good guys. So I'm not sure about that.But anyway the report told me I had a rainforest in my gut with an abundance of Blautia (I eat lots of different types of foods) but that I was deficient in Eubacteria, Ruminoccocus, Fecalibacterium, and Alistipes, that I was overgrown in pathogenic Enterococcus. That doesn't surprise me because I've taken two rounds at different times of antibiotics once when I was stricken with pneumonia a few years back and then with bladder pain. I know antibiotics tend to wipe out bacteria in the gut.They want me to eat only turkey and Quail from the meat dept. along with oysters, Sea Bass but no chicken, trout, pork etc. It also lists your veggies, fruits and herbs. So it's worth a try to give you an insight. Everyone's recommendations will be different based on bacteria present in your specific gut.

I have never thought about testing my gut but am glad that I finally did. The gut health test from Ombre arrived really quickly and had easy to follow instructions. Once I mailed my sample in I waited three weeks for my results. The results were really easy to understand and I think I will follow their recommendation and try one of their probiotics!

My wife and I have done a few other microbiome tests that all agreed with each other. Ombre not only gave different results and recommendations from those other 3 companies, but they gave both my wife and I the exact same breakdowns and recommendations. That is not only suspicious, but also impossible if it were really testing what they claim.
