I had the waste of my life and I owe it all to this!
This stuff doesn't clean dishes. So, yeah, I made a bad investment and bought this in bulk. I hate running out of dishwashing detergent so, I got a bunch of cool, eco friendly soap. OOPS. After the first load, it looked like I forgot to press start on the dishwasher the night before. In my house, we pretty much wash the dishes before we "wash" them. The second time, I unloaded them but they were all drippy-dry with "not cleanliness." That's when I bought a super-chemical called Jet Dry. That didn't even help! This started my new life as a hand-washing dishes person. Then, my husband bought some Cascade. We squirt half "eco-friendly doesn't clean gel" and half Cascade. 100% of the time it works halfway. If I had a photo of a glass it didn't wash, I'd post it but I don't. Just imagine pouring a pint of heavy cream into a glass. Now dump it out and rinse it once with water and let it air dry. That's how good it is. Don't get this stuff, even if you want to save the planet. You'll end up having to waste 3 times as much water and get more soap and use more soap and quit your job to be a stay at home dish washer.

Wish it worked
Reading the negative reviews, it looks like I am not alone. I sooo wanted this product to work, I purchased in bulk (4 containers). I also had filthy plates and silverware after a wash in the dishwasher. I have a Bosch dishwasher only a couple of years old, at first I called Bosch complaining the dishwasher is not working as well as it used to work. My husband was making fun of me that it was the detergent, I refused to believe him. I started scrubbing the plates and silverware before placing in the dishwasher. I got a couple of samples of Finish detergent and I was proved that it wasn't the dishwasher, but the dishwasher detergent. I'm glad it works for some and I wish there was an eco friendly dishwasher detergent that actually works as well as Finish, but not yet. I have 3 full bottles left and more, I guess money wasted, lesson learned, go for the one that works even though it's not pure.

ECOS- good product
We have very hard water ( calcium and magnesium) and do not have a water softener. Since we have a septic system and also don't like the soft water feel, we choose not to use a softener. We do use a special filter, ionizing system, which helps a great deal.That brings up the ECOS PRO Wave Gel Auto-Dishwasher liquid. We have tried almost every dishwasher soap that we could find. Some were better than others, but they all left either a scum or a dry hard water coating to the dishes. Some also did not clean very well. The ECOS has proved to be the best of them all. The dishes come out better than any other soap. They are clean and free of residue.At the advise of a dishwasher repairman, we have stayed away from the little "plastic" soap containers, since they can clog the dishwasher and the system in general. These were not tested by us, but these brands were tested in either the liquid or power form.

Don’t waste your money
Terrible. Doesn’t clean dishes at all unless you’ve already cleaned them before putting them in the dishwasher, and leaves residue. (To be clear, I rinse my dishes well but I don’t soap and scrub them.) When I open my dishwasher to stick in an extra item, it’s all foamy, which is not typical of most dishwasher detergents. I try to be eco-friendly, but this is not a good one. Better off going with Second Generation.

This just does not clean
I bought it because I love the dishwashing soap, but the dishwasher detergent just is not working.I am now stocked up for a year... and cannot use it. I have added vinegar to try to cut through grease when washing, but even that is not cutting through basic dirt and grease. I am having to handwash dishes first, then run them through the washer for the hot rinse to sanitize them. The detergent does not cut through dirt.

Doesn't get dishes clean
I use Ecos laundry detergent and it is really good. This stuff only gets the dishes clean if you wash them first. It doesn't get any particles out of the necks of regular mouth canning jars; you have to wash them by hand. Too bad I bought 4 containers....

Good brand, good value!
This lasted a whole year doing at least one load a day - yay! I'm coming back for more! We have hard water and our dishes get clean. We do rinse first before loading, and also slosh some vinegar into the machine before running, to help as a rinse aid. We have had no issues. Our local grocery store quit carrying this brand, so I'm happy that it's available here :)

Clean, clear, no residue!
I have been using their Lavender scented one, it was not perfect but I was happy that the ingredients are eco friendly but there was always some bubbles left in the bottom of the dishwasher when each cycle is completed. However, this new one was clear and no scent and most of all, there is no residue after a washing cycle. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and no residue part.
