Hands down the best carabiner/keyring money could buy!
First of all, I purchased this back in 2018.It is/was by far the single most useful and versatile keyring/carabiner that I have ever had in all my life, and I just now went to replace it (I broke it myself doing something extremely stupid with it) and currently can no longer locate this specific item.he only drawback I have ever had, was that it was somewhat difficult to clip through your belt loop. If you wear denim jeans with typical belt loops, it can easily be clipped and unclipped from the of your front belt loops ( where I clipped mine, because it only consisted of my personal keys, my work keys I kept on a larger carabiner on my side belt loop, or in my work bag) but if you have medium to larger belt loops (such as Dickies work pants) you cannot clip it through your belt loop.I only ever lost this off my belt loop once, and I attributed that to my not being careful enough when clipping it through my belt loop, and must have inadvertently clipped it ONTO the belt loop, instead of THROUGH it.I personally decided on attaching approximately 2-3 keys more than needed to be on it, but this didn't affect use or carry, I simply adapted and became used to the the extra keys. I kept all my keys on medium weight key rings, which I then added on to this key ring/carabiner. Someone else mentioned in their review that "this is not a carabiner it is a keyring" but it quite literally IS what the description states. It is a Key-Chain Carabiner. It is designed after carabiners, it functions like a carabiner, and you can attach your keys to it like a key-chain/key-ring. I myself opted to attach my keys via medium duty key rings, for versatility and ease of use purposes.Again, this surpassed every other key chain/ring I have ever used in my life including every variety and expense and size of carabiners (which I always used prior to finding the Idakey, and I am saddened to find I cannot replace it.This item was easily worth $$$ to me.

Works for me
Exactly what I was looking for! I'm always afraid of losing items attached to a regular cheap carabiner so this is a sleek upgrade. The two that I got were both suitably stiff to open so they felt secure and yet I didn't break any fingernails nor did I get other injuries when testing. Haven't tried the bottle opener but I suppose it would work should the need arise. I will not need to attach/detach this on a daily basis so cannot vouch for the longevity but it seems sturdy and well-made for my purposes. Got this mainly to be able to be able to remove my car key from the other keys if needed. Would not have needed anything bigger than this (2" in length).

Excellent!
What I like:1) Tension is actually quite strong. I have to give it a good bit of pressure to open it, and thus far it's retained that tension strength2) Lightweight. Not quite as light as a titanium equivalent, but plenty light enough, and considering how much less they cost, it's a small price to pay.3) Inexpensive. When compared to titanium counterparts, it's really a no-brainer. The weight difference it negligible, so it's a great alternative to titanium variants.4) Part of the design I like, and another part I'm not sure I do. The locking design aspect that prevents keys from coming out is cool, and I have yet to have them fall off. What I don't like:1) Not sure yet about this design, considering I'm used to the opening being on the larger end of a carabiner, so I will update after longer use, but thus far It's just been weird getting used to it. It hasn't hampered or hindered use at all, so it's probably just going to take time to get used to.I did have an equivalent to this Keith Titanium Carabiner Multi-Function EDC Outdoor Key Ring Camping Hiking Tool carabiner, but the hook end where the clip hooks onto kept catching on my belt loop and key rings as I removed them. It became apparent that I liked the design of something like the el-cheapo kinds you can find at Walmart, because they come off the belt loop or key rings much more smoothly, but I wanted something strong like the titanium ones. I wasn't about to spend $35+ on one carabiner though, so I thought I'd try these. So far, other than getting used to the opening being on the small end of the carabiner, these have fit the bill for my every day carry needs. The weight difference between these and titanium equivalents is not even noticeable to me, so they've been worth it so far. I docked it one star because the only thing making it perfect for me is the opening being on the opposite end from what I'm used to, and it makes it slightly annoying to get open with my big hands. Other than that, they're great!{Update 2019-11-08}It's been more than 2 years with these carabiners, and though I decided I don't like how the opening is on the smaller side of the carabiner, their performance and value can't be understated. Even in the couple of instances where I somehow bent the opening so it ended up on the outside, or off to the side, it still sprung back into it's original position and has served me well thus far. I can't justify buying another design when these are doing their job well, so I've decided to just go with them.

Avoid
A cute fob for a key or two, worthless for larger head car keys, requires a split ring for typical keys and scan codes. Large end appears to be able to snap on a belt loop, but it is closed, adds to the bulk in the pocket. But would be good for kids that carry just a locker or house or single car key.

Too small to be practical.
Pros: Does what it saysCons: waaaay to small. These will fit around my office slacks, but will NOT fit around my carhartts with the thick work'n-man's-belt-loop. I needed something to keep my keys on my belt at the factory. The extra safety feature attracted me to this, but the product is waay to small. It would need to be 1.5 to 2x as big to meet my needs.
