A great fixed blade for around $20
Lemme tell you what this is a 5 star knife for 20 bucks. Came sharp outta the box, and feels good in the hand. Thick steel and full tang should be very durable. I’ve chopped down a bunch of pepper trees, and chopped back a bunch of palm fronds with this knife no problem. It batons well too. I use it to baton hardwood for my bbq grill. Ive buggered the edge several times hitting it on concrete while doing this , and it touches up pretty easily. Sometimes I’ll walk my dog wearing this, because why not? Wouldn’t hesitate to take it camping, I already know from using it around my property that it would be an excellent camp knife. A good knife doesn’t need to be expensive, as evidenced here. Hasn’t shown any sign of rust, and overall just a great knife for the price. The only complaint I have is the upper leather keeper is kinda loose so I just leave it undone. No matter what knives you have, do yourself a favor and practice sharpening them

Almost a full Pound of great knife
GREAT value for the money, sturdy, sharp, and beautiful on arrival. The sewn leather sheath, too, is a beauty, and fit for the job.The brass handle guard and brass handle ends and attachment pins are nice accents and completely very purposefully functional. Some measurements: Blade 8.50 inch long; Knife 13.75 inch long overall. Blade 1.75 inch wide.Brass handle guard 2.25 inch wide. Knife weight 14.30 ounces (405.6 grams). Knife with Sheath weight 17.31 ounces (491.0 grams). Blade, at thickest, 0.150 inch.I agree that the knife handle is a bit thin and light at its taper ends, but if a person likes, he/she can drill out or punch out the two brass pins and fashion new handle scales to attach to the blade, a nice afternoon project, perhaps. Instead I'll use the knife as it is for now, as I like it well enough as built.I'd say this knife overall is a bargain, and sure to be long-lasting in use. It's so good that I even think that if "Crocodile Dundee" (of the two movies) were to see it and heft it, he'd say, "now, THAT'S a KNIFE!" --Joe / Tucson ARIZONA

Incredible value for a large, full tang knife.
I found this knife to be a very good value. The blade is strong and sharp. The knife is a full tang design (the blade is made from a solid piece of metal that extends all the way to the end of the handle, increasing strength), which is surprising given the cost. The pear wood grips are a nice touch. The sheath is fine, if a little stiffer than I'd like. All in all this is an excellent fixed blade knife at a shockingly low price.

Great value and look
If you are looking for a great looking, comfortable in the hand and built for durability hunting knife at a great price, this may be the one for you. Looks great out of the package, it cut paper easily, cardboard as well in testing right out of the package. Is it perfect? No hunting knife at this price point will be perfect. For example, the sheath is not real leather, it is a man-made version that may or may not have some tiny leather pieces in it so they can call it leather - like making a board out of saw dust and resin and calling it wood. Does it do the job and look nice, yes, but there are rivets inside the sheath for the belt loop section that can scratch the blade. I taped over them and problem solved. This is the only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. I read many reviews, and there are quite a few nit-picky reviews that don't seem understand what to expect at this price point and maybe would have been happier spending 10-20 times more on a higher end knife with an exotic wood handle, gold plating and a fine Corinthian leather sheath that they gaze at and brag to their friends about, but never use. Get this knife, go use it and you will get your money's worth IMHO.

Great tool for any Knife Job!
I grew up in the North Woods of Minnesota. Dad was a Naturalist. Born 200 years to late. Lol! We lived in a two story house that Dad Built. NO running water. NO electricity. Grew food. Raised food. Hunted, fished. This is the kind of knife you need for that type of life. Full solid handle, Thick steel, Full blade through handle, Sharp as heck! Very pleased! (My old knife will now be retired. :-)) Thank you.

Great Work Knife for the Price!
Great work knife, especially for the price. I might even order another one, just in case they stop making them.

Mostly oak 14-in blade survival knife:
Find quality in durability. Makes a great outdoor camping knife. Or even if you go fishing. More likely a great defensive tool. Rest resistance I don't not sure it really depends on how you take care of the knife sharpening been it in a cool dry place and oiling it up. And of course putting it away when not in use. Makes a great ranch hand knife to to be on the ranch. As a customer I would definitely say five stars. It's full tangFrom blade to handle. That is really good durability
