The Parable of the Wise and the Foolish Builders
When I got this product I couldn't help thinking of The Parable of the Wise and the Foolish Builders aka House built on Rock. For those that don't recall this parable it is:Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn't do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. The problem with product isn't the horsehair, which are great by the way, or the hand sewn bristles. The problem is the fact that for the environment it will find itself in, the shower or bathtub most likely, the foundation (the wood handle) hasn't been properly treated to withstand the flood of water. I've seen other reviews where the purchaser complains about this and I'm going to add a few things to that. One, if you purchase this product also plan on purchasing 100% Pure Tung oil, some sand paper and some turpentine or mineral spirits since you will need to prepare the foundation (the wood handle) so it can live in that environment. I am somewhat at a loss as to why the wood isn't properly prepared to begin with however that is why I gave this product 1 star. Look if I'm having to fix a design flaw redesign the thing or do the work to make it the premium product it should be. I ended up sanding the wood handle, which was almost like unfinished wood I should add, and applying three coats of tung oil to the finish and letting it cure for 1 month prior to introducing to my shower. Does that sound like fun? If it does buy this!

Best built, long lasting, quality brushes. Bar none.
Finally after 30 years of daily usage, having to replace it.Tried several others before i re-found the one and only original and therefore can honestly say, it's the best. The wiring approach means no glue used, so won't fall apart in hot water. No plastic plate holding the hairs in means pieces don't break & fall out over time.No non-needed cloth strap means it's not going to get mouldy, or the tacks holding it in won't rust over the cloth.Non detachable head means it's not going to constantly slip off.Long enough handle means you'll reach in between your shoulder blades.Horse hair (as opposed to nylon or boar or grass ) means you'll absorb water to lather. For the record: nylon doesn't absorb water, and if it's not exactly the right stiffness for you, it will never change. Also, nylon curls up after a while due to hot water. And the ends of the nylon brush are cut square and sharp -- they micro-damage your skin (compared to naturally rounded/soft ended horse hair) and will cause acne to get worse rather than better. Same for loufa's brushes btw.Boar is good too -- but too stiff for me (better for scrubing the floor I'd think -- unless you like exfoliating the top layer or two of your skin every morning). So this brush is really perfect, and will last the next 30 years. If you want Scandinavian clear skin, skip the bamboo handled/nylon/grass bristle'd brushes that won't help you one bit, and get the best. This one.

Good looking but high maintenance bath brush
This product is absolutely gorgeous. I like how the horse hairs are tied to the the wood. It give the brush a very elegant look, unlike some brushes has a white plastic layer to tied down the brush. The bristle is the right softness for me.HOWEVER, the wood is prone to splinter when sitting in a humid environment. When the brush arrived, before I started using it, I let sit in the bathroom to see how the wooden part would hold up to moist. After a week, the wood became very rough. I had to sand and apply coconut oil to bring it back. After I started using it on a daily basis, I sand , oil, and let oil abosorb every couple weeks. So far the wood hasn’t cracked. I can see it crack If not maintained regularly though.tip to keep the brush dry: instead of hanging it after every use, lay the brush flat with horse hair pointing downward. This helps the water drain against the wood and decrease the chance of cracked wood.

A Must-Have in the Shower
A beautiful and functional addition to my shower. The brush is coarse enough to provide a very clean feel. It looks beautiful when not in use. The construction of the brush is impeccable and I really like how the horse hairs are woven in to the brush, rather than glued.

Brush Your Cares Away
This is an excellent brush. The bristles are firm and not overly soft or overly harsh. I’ve been using this brush for several years not this individual brush but this brand. Every ordered many times. The construction is superb. I highly recommend this brush. Great for bathing. Wonderful that is made by sight-impaired individuals.

Quality product
Package arrived on time and was reasonably packaged. Bristles are soft but not too soft. Bristles seem to be connected well so they aren't falling out. Quality product.

Quality bath brush
Well made quality bath brush. Nice feel, but the bristles are softer than I expected, not that, that’s a problem, I was just surprised. I’m happy with my purchase and look forward to a long lasting bath brush.

Poor quality
The brush itself seems ok, but the wood stain they used comes off and bleeds out of the wood onto fiberglass shower, wash cloths, or whatever the brush sits on.
