Layrite Natural Matte Cream Oz

I first got introduced to this product from my barber and I enjoy it ever since. I have longer hair and like to put it slicked back but with a more natural look and this does the job! The packing is nice and once you open it you can smell the scent and it's not like some of the other hair product brands that smell like cheap cologne. The product is very simple, works best if your hair is not wet and best part is that you can wash it off with no concerns. Some products hold great and look great but when you shower then you feel like glue is in your hair, not with this! Again it depends on the look you are going for, the hold is good not the best but the look comes out more natural.

Updated review-So as my first review said this is a great product with a nice medium hold. But more of a soft medium hold . It allows you to style your hair in any way and most importantly it is a matte finish. In my opinion it leaves a very light shine but it makes it look more natural and not like the life was sucked out of your hair. It takes a bit to fully set and "dry" but it may be because I have low perosity hair.I have let my hair grow out more than usual and I am letting my curly hair do it's thing instead of keeping it short and just styling it back. My hair is about 3 to 4 inches long on top and I have 3A curls . I gave this a shot after not using for a while with my longer hair. I have to say I am very surprised by the results. I was expecting this to weigh down my hair but to my surprise it didn't. I apply it to semi damp hair from root to end . Style it, which for me is to light scrunch and lift and just let it air dry. It keeps the curls in place, soft, no frizz, doesn't dry, not greasy. And most importantly it washes off easily with water. My daughter with very thick dense wavy hair uses it too and it works great as well.

Good hold, easy to wash out, and made by the same companies of major brands. Wish it was slightly cheaper, but it does last a while.

4 stars because of the price; expensive IMO.Buy it :-) ... Natural Matte Cream version, blue label.Other than price, this is a fantastic product. It's not sticky or greasy, truly is matte in texture, goes on cleanly, holds hair extremely well, washes off easily, has a nice but not overpowering fragrance, and does not leave any residue (like the Suavecito brand does).Even though this hair product is pricey, I will keep buying it if the price does not go up any more.

My stylist gave me this awesome new haircut that I loved, and he used this product. They didn't have any in stock, and I called everywhere in town - no one seems to carry it. I picked up an American Crew "matte forming cream" at Target just to have something (I'm new to putting gunk in my hair. lol) I ordered this as soon as I could.Comparing it to the American Crew product, this stuff is wonderful. I really love the smell - sometimes in the restroom I'll just sniff it for a moment, it reminds me of coca cola. I like that I can smell it when I work out and sweat a bit, I love it. The hold is just wonderful, and it is much easier than the other product to fix your hair with a wet comb. This stuff is very malleable, and there's no need to mix it with water before you apply - it spreads through the hair easily. It holds very well. One of my favorite things about this product is that when it dries, it looks dry. I don't like the shiny hair look on myself, and the other "matte" hair cream I used made my hair look shiny as ever.Great product. If I ever need something else for my hair, I'll check Layrite first. I'm currently waiting for their grooming spray.Also, the packaging is very attractive and holds up in a humid restroom.

My favorite hair product. Holds my hair in place without stiffness and smells amazing! Best I've ever used. Will never use another product.

Great quality for the price. Easy to use as expected. Highly recommend.
