We live in Florida in a Manuafactured Home. During the summer we let the Cat on the back deck until it hits 90 degrees and then she has to be inside. I am tired of Air Conditioning Florida. Bought this in hopes it would work. Answer is with a little bit of adjustment YES!!!If you are fighting with a small slidining door, such as in a Manufactured Home which just measures 75 inches. Take the two corner plastic tabs off. On the new piece, Push the top down tight and screw the unit in place to the smallest position so it supposedly fits 75inches. I had to remove the two plastic pieces at the top to get it to fit 75 inches. 1. Open the doorway fully open. 2. Set the bottom in at an angle where the bottom edge is about 10 inches from the wall. Object of the game is to stand this piece up and have it be in place.. Tip the unit until it is positioned and then start tipping it up. You may have a slight problem like we did where it stopped and didn't go all the way up... Now comes the delicate tapping with a man's palm...or something soft (you don't want to break it!). Tap it gently, or a tad more firmly at the top until it falls into place.3. Turn the two knobs at the top so that the springs pop into place. (This firmly holds it in!)4. Put the weather stripping on this new panel where it will touch your old slider door when closed.5. Now to lock and secure your home. Get someone with a drill to drill into the frame of the main slider about 1/2 inch above the edge, when your slider is in and the door is closed. This enables you to put a hook through it to removable hook through the slider so no one can enter.. On the bottom we use a plastic pipe the size of the remaining door. Now your doorway is secure to either the outside or to your porch. So, to unlock just remove the hook at the top and the plastic bar at the bottom. (Our hook is one of those that closes like for keys)6. This unit comes with a plastic door which drops down so the cat can't use it when it gets too hot. Love itWhat a wonderful Item! and yes I am just an everyday customer. Now when it cools off (It is 100+ on the back deck), I get to train the cat.

Well built door. Fits great in a mobile home sliding door which is shorter than standard.
