10-year-old Logan requested this for his birthday!
So naturally it was a hit, being just what he wanted. Things he likes most: the bombs, the turrets in the front, the escape pod in front, and the flat body of the gunship (makes it harder for the enemy to hit). But if the gunship is hit and the turrets ate destroyed, he can use its mini gun.Logan draws from his vast knowledge of the Star Wars saga to add features that are purely imaginative. For example, he assured me that there’s a force field around the gunship and that it can autopilot itself — and that the bombs are highly explosive. Dropping the bombs is a big part of the fun of playing with this airship.Logan assembled the gunship himself without adult assistance.

My grandsons truly love putting these together and it makes a grandpa feel good that kids today are so interested, rather than always on the electronic toys. I worked with one of my grandsons to build a similar one of these and it is very interesting how the instructions flow and then to watch the children follow them. Just as good as tinker toys, Lincoln Logs and Fort Apache sets of years ago!
