La Flor Spices Oregano Whole, 6 Ounce

I go through a ton of oregano in my house from making pasta sauces to pizza and more. This is an excellent value size for the money, a huge 6 oz container for less than $6 . There were no reviews on this when I bought it last week so I was unsure how the quality would be. I use to buy the big containers of the McCormick brand here on Amazon but the last 2 containers I bought tasted like dirt so their quality went way down. This stuff is excellent, it has a very strong oregano aroma to it and has that nice slightly bitter and peppery taste to it and the flakes are a nice coarse ground flake which is perfect for sprinkling on things and being able to actually taste it . I container I just purchased on 8/12/16 has an exp. date of 10/19 for anyone interested about the exp. dates when you get them . I tried taking a pic to show how nice and coarse the flakes are of coarse the container was fuller when I got it but I used some for pizza and pasta sauce

This oregano spice I bought about 3 months ago does its job pretty well. It is not the best quality of oregano, but if you need most of the flavor of oregano, this one does it. It came in a large plastic bottle, unfortunately. So this company doesn't have the respect for its spices that some other companies do. So I searched through my glass supplement bottles for enough to transfer all of the oregano to safer containers. It is still just as flavorful now as it was when it arrived.

I cook large family meals from scratch every day, so I use lots and lots of spices. if you do too, stop buying those little jars at the supermarket and save yourself lots of money and lots of trips to the store buying this large value container. Excellent quality product at an excellent price.
