i.Trek Replacement Bracket Cradle for Garmin Nuvi (Black)

The orginal did not last long because it was very cheaply made. So I bought this one through Amazon. The unit fit very well onto my Garmin GPS. But as far as it fitting on to the short arm w/ball (also Garmin), not so easy. At first I thought they sent me the wrong one. But, after applying great pressure, it went on. I'm not going to take it apart, as I did with my last one. It is plastic and continued removal and replacement (done to fit into the GPS case) may cause the inner plastic elements to break. That's what happened to the last one. I feel if I'm very careful with this one it will last a long time. I recommend this because it's about the cheapest way to fix the problem, if yours broke. Just don't remove the ball from it once you get it in; leave it there. Good luck. UPDATE: This product failed failed after being used about a dozen times. As with the original, the plastic/polamer-based section (the hole the ball fits into) came crumbled making it useless. It's a design flaw. Try to find another way to solve the problem.

The bracket isn't what was pictured at all. It is completely missing the tab that locks into the groove on the Nuvi back slot, completely worthless piece of junk. I don't know if there is another style GPS that uses this, but it certainly doesn't work with the 2597LMT. pics included. At the price it would cost more to send it back, I think that is what they count on.

I like everything about this item. It is an exact match for my older Garmin.

We lost this bracket and this was the one that fit the Garmin Friction Mount, whereas another replacement bracket we bought earlier did not.

the cradle is black, its holds the GPS device as expected, it works as expected at this time, time will tell how it holds up
