This book is loaded with all sorts of great information the colored photo gallery is excellent the tutorial for each one of the lures that is included in the book is very well written and laid out and very easy to understand I would recommend this to anybody who is interested in making handmade lures

Nice little book for starting lure makers. Good detailed, step by step instructions for each lure. Lures are a little out of date for modern bass fishing. I would be interested in a more advanced book on sub surface gliders and jointed swimbaits that are selling for such high prices the average angler is out of the market unless you make your own.

I have had the book for about a week now and am already halfway through my second lure. This book seems great for beginners and experienced wood workers alike. It has easy-to-follow instructions for novices like myself, but also provides a lot of material from which one could potentially expand their artistic license. As with any hobby, getting the initial materials has proven to be a bit pricey (I'd estimate it at about $50 excluding the book), but after making a few lures, I think I will be averaging about $1-2 per lure. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is interested im making their own lures, even if you have no artistic talent like myself.

This is perfect for someone who is interested in making their own lures.

The writer is also an artist and the pictures of the process show you exactly what he is doing. He covers making the lures from raw stock, and premade bodies. The painting uses brushes, spray cans, and paint gun to show you that you can paint good looking lures no matter what process you use. Unlike other books about building fishing lures, this book also gives you plans that can be copied, of all the lures shown being made and several lures that he does not show being made.If you want a great book that covers the topic this book is for you.

This is a great start to the field of lure making. Easy to follow patterns, tips and lots of pictures. I was hoping for more tips on threw wire construction and lathe work. This book doesn't cover anything on the lathe. So if you are looking to start without any knowledge start here. If you have been building lures for a while like I have it will be little help. Still a good read on the subject.

Well written in straightforward manner. Photography is winning together with step-by-step instructions. Good for beginners or well seasoned experts. This book offers budget ways to make GOOD lures.

aimed at the us market lots of items cant be bought in uk not round here anyway cover makes it lookvintage but not aimed at that market at all the parts on vintage style wood lures are minimal

Great little book. Tells you all you need to know.

Very useful and informative. Some of the equipment used is difficult to get here in the UK, but if you combine it with some research on U tube it gets you into successful lure making.
