San Francisco Bay Compostable Coffee Pods - Caramel (80 Ct) K Cup Compatible including Keurig 2.0, Flavored, Medium Roast

San Francisco brand French Roast coffee has been my go to coffee for years now. It consistently has an enjoyable bold, true coffee flavor and aroma. When visiting coffee houses trying coffees from different regions of the world is something I enjoy and it's so cool of an experience tasting the differences. Hanging out or frequenting those groovy little independent coffee shops is not easy now due to living in a rural area.While this coffee might not be some peoples choice, it works for me and works really well. It's definitely bold and full-bodied and sometimes I taste some sort of smoke aftertaste that's enjoyable. I roast my own coffee and am careful about selecting beans but haven't been able to find time to do that this year. When out of San Francisco French Roast coffee I literally freak for a minute and then search all over for anything with actual flavor that might be lurking forgotten in our coffee pantry. When I find all we have is my husbands Max... House breakfast blend it makes me cringe and take a deep breath knowing I didn't plan well enough to reorder and now will have to struggle through a cup of that weird flavor and weak taste until it can be replaced.This coffee arrives quickly once ordered, and is packaged carefully using recycled products. The pods are designed to work in single serve K-cup type brewers but they're environmentally better bc they don't have all that plastic that gets wasted. The tops are made of thick paper and the bottoms are made of a densely woven sort of paper netting. They work just fine and without any hiccups in my plain, single-serve, k-cup brewer. The pods are made to be recycled too. Each box contains, I think, 8 compostable bags and in each bag there are 10 single serve coffee pods. An added huge bonus comes when you open one of your bags and - poof! - out comes the intoxicating aroma of fresh ground, full-bodied coffee. So good!

To set the scene, I am a Starbucks fan. I had been on a kick of buying their k-cups, which aren't always cheap but they have a reliably bold and fresh flavor. I had actually come on Amazon to see if I could find the Starbucks Autumn Blend (which is a strong limited edition flavor that I can never find in stores) when I stumbled upon these. The price was fantastic and I really loved the idea of the compostable cups, i.e. my convenience item being less terrible for the environment. The reviews were also great, but I was skeptical because often when the ratings are this high, the reviewers are shills. Also, coffee is a matter of taste, so how seriously can you take a 5 star review from someone you've never met who might like something completely different than you? That's why I started out here talking about Starbucks, so you can get an idea of my taste. 😀 For the price, I decided to give these a try, and I'm so glad I did because I am amazed how good they are. Left black, it is a nice strong coffee. Add some sweetener and it is a very smooth, bold flavor. Add some cream and you can still actually taste the coffee. 😀 My boyfriend also likes this brand and he is a real coffee snob who used to be a Starbucks barista and thinks he knows all about coffee. 😄 The compostable cups work well, too. I sometimes get a little bit of residue in the bottom of my cup, but it is very fine and not the consistency of getting grounds in your coffee or anything.I did have one guest at Christmas dinner say that they didn't like it, but that person isn't normally a coffee drinker and just thought the French roast was too strong for her.

This is tasty and strong , exactly as advertised. I love the product so much. Added bonus it was affordable unlike many expensive options. The product is also compostable something I have never seen in k cupsI can’t say enough good things about this product-among some of the best coffee shops I have ever tasted and I get it every morning!

I loooooove Colombian coffee and these taste great! As you see, I gave it high marks except for the value and you will see why below.The reason why I bought them was threefold.1. My office did not have Colombian blend coffee as a choice.2. It is supposedly a better environmental choice as it is compostable.3. The price was fairly good for a compostable high-quality coffee.It is one of the few that supposedly works in a Keurig 2.0 machine.Well, unless you like cleaning exploded coffee pods out of your 2.0 machine, I recommend against it.They don't explode every time you use them, but only at the most inopportune times, or that is just my Murphy's Law experience with them at least. I'll be going along the whole week without a hitch and then boom, I open the lid to remove the pod to find coffee grounds evvvvverywhere and have to carefully rinse out the pod housing.The last time it happened, I thought I had killed the company machine for sure. I didn't want to explain to caffeine-deprived people that I broke their machine. It took so long to rinse all the grounds out. The seal on the pod doesn't seem equipped to withstand the heat of the hot water that comes from the machine. That may be something QC wants to work on fixing.Alas, I can't buy them anymore. SFB, your team has to work on that. It's the only flaw. Your quality and flavor is on point.

The taste is good. It has been the best tasting decafe coffee that I have tried to date.

This is simply the best, taste wise and the material wise. Tried Starbucks, not even close. Love all 5 in this variety pack, each has distinct flavor, all on the medium to dark roast spectrum. Wish there is still a seller that carries it at reasonable price.

Many questions by guests re brand and type of coffee. A definite favourite. Uses minimal plastic in the K-Cup which is an awesome bonus.

Delicious coffee and the whe unit is compostable. All keurig cups should be like that.
