A nice enough guest bed or special purpose cot
It is easy to put up with no actual assembly (aside from taking the mattress from where it comes tucked up in the folded mattress and plopping it on top. A very minor complaint is that the mattress is covered by some kind of vinyl product. I would have preferred cotton, but this is not worth complaining about, because putting a sheet over it solves the problem. So far, it seems to be holding up. I have it set up in my one air-conditioned room (in my antique house lacking HVAC), an office where I take refuge once the temperature soars to 100F ++ during Fresno's horrible summers. When I'm sick of sitting at my computer (as the hours drag by in a heat wave) I can lie down flat and just read a book. Clearly I don't put it to super-heavy use but it's certainly adequate for the purpose and comfortable. I don't think it would substitute for an actual permanent bed, but it is comfy enough to be set up in a guest room or for a purpose such as mine. When the weather cools off, I anticipate no problem folding it up and slipping it into a closet

Do Not Buy.
Not the most comfortable cot, but which cot is?! Cots are made to be uncomfortable so your guests leave quickly. Haha. Well, I use this one for tent camping or sleeping in my son's room when he's sick. The slats have popped out before, when I kneel on the bed (I'm 5'10" and 150 lbs), but I figured it was because I was putting a lot of weight on one or two slats. When I reread the specs for the Stram Exclusive Folding Bed, the weight limit is over 200 lbs! What. The. Hell. This past week, I had three slats pop out in one evening, and because it takes an act of God to reinsert them, I had to sleep with the slats missing. When we got home, my husband reinserted two of the three slats, and then the last one broke. Cracked. Kupoot. The wood slats are laminated so they can bend easier, I imagine. I just didn't want them to bend SO much that they'd bend right off the bed! Dammit. So now what? I emailed Stram and am awaiting their response. This bed was purchased on April 15, 2014, a little over ayear ago. We used it maybe 6 times. Bah! Lame.Edit 5/20/2015: I emailed Stram over a week ago. No reply. Customer service? What a joke. I'll update if I hear anything from them.Edit 5/27/2015: I still haven't heard back from Stram. But I went on the LL Bean website, and it appears they sell the same cots (though they don't specify the brand as Stram). The 1-800 number the give for replacement parts is: "Yes, replacement slats for the Deluxe Swedish Folding Cot are available. To order, please call 800-226-7552." I am going to give it a go and see if we can fix this dang cot.So the 1-800 number is for LL Bean, and they will provide free replacement slats for LL Bean customers that purchased the cot through them: Item No PCT5. Once again, I am out of luck.

Two Stars
Great for a home extra bed but not for my purposes as a camping cot. Too heavy.

Good for what it is
I slept on this bed for 4 consecutive nights. It was more comfortable than I expected. However, it is not very wide, so turning over means turning in place. It folds compactly and neatly, is light weight and is easy to store. Seems to be of good quality, especially, considering the price. For me, it was a good purchase.

Great product, good value
The mattress for this folding bed is very comfortable, although it is firm so some people will not like that. It folds easily and is a low profile so it fits in a narrow space (in our closet now). The frame is very solid and the wooden slats are strong and sturdy with a little give so they flex. Overall, I think we should have this folding bed for a long time.

It is far more sturdy than we realized (thanks to the wooden slats
The folding bed actually exceeded our expectations. It is far more sturdy than we realized (thanks to the wooden slats.) It is far more comfortable than expected (thanks to an excellent quality of foam). And it is far more convenient than expected (thanks to a simple but ingenious way of storing the mattress within the folded frame. We will never use our air mattresses again. I highly recommend this product.
