Regal Flame Arkon Ventless Indoor Outdoor Fire Pit Tabletop

Was nervous about purchasing a large unit so we bought a table version to see how we would like it. It was packaged very nicely so it would arrive in great shape with no broken pieces. All there was to assemble was screwing the two clear thick glass panels to each side. The fuel unit which is stainless comes out from the top or side and can be filled and then placed inside unit making it easy to fill. We do use a funnel as the opening of the unit is narrow. There is a marking inside side of the unit saying max. so you don't over fill. If we happen to spill we wipe it up before lighting. There is a long wick inside that stays inside the unit. Just need to light with a long lighter. It does make a noise once it ignites so don't get scared. We have only used it outside so we have not notice any smell of burning fuel. The two nights we used was breezy so flames were dancing so we made sure we were away from the building and furniture. While burning we placed our hand under the black box and it was just a bit warm but never too hot to be concerned. We do bring it in every night as it does get damp where we live. The stainless steel fuel unit does get discolored where the flame burns but we wipe it off once it cools. Don't use any steel wool as it will scratch. We use fireplace glass door cleaner and was pleased to take some of the discoloring away from the fuel unit but not all of it. The glass stays clean while burning and doesn't need cleaning. If we fill the fuel to the max. line it burns about 1 1/2 hours outside in the breeze. Yes, the fuel is about $5.00 a quart and we got two fills and a bit more for next time. It is cleaner and easier then wood which can be expensive if you don't have resources. We used Moda Flame fuel. It took about one week to get fuel. We are so pleased with unit that we will be looking for a larger unit. Update: We used inside and it burnt just less then two hours. There was a slight odor so we opened the window a bit which really helped. When my husband walked in from outside he also said their was a slight odor. Our house is small and maybe if a larger room or home one may not notice.

We enjoy this little portable fireplace. We do find that if you pour in the fuel but don't light it right away, you'll smell some vapor. But light it immediately and that problem is solved. Also, we always let it burn completely out, and find that after it goes out if you relight it a couple times you'll avoid some unburned fuel vapor. We also put the damper on it right away which helps too. During the burning we smell no odor at all. These are just our tips to keep it that way!

While you wouldn't buy this for the warmth factor (nearly none unless you are right close to it), the ambiance, lack of smell and portability factor is a 10. This tabletop fireplace has a beautiful, clean look that is well made and fits with many decor styles. The only downside? It takes 1/2 a bottle each time you want to refill this tabletop fireplace (which burns roughly 2-2.5 hours at a time). The burn time is not bad in my opinion, but the cost of the fuel could be considered pricey to some if they want to use it often.

I was worried that this mini fireplace would look and feel cheaply made, but it's not. It should be worth a lot more than its listing (to be honest), so this is a great deal! Burns well with fuel except that its flames are taller than the glass panels, so sometimes I was a bit afraid it would catch something else on fire. In all, this is a great mini-fireplace. It's sophisticated. I received it in excellent condition and perfectly packaged. I highly recommend.

Have a small apartment without a fireplace? What a lovely ambiance piece! These do not disappoint as its my second Ive gifted. Everyone loves them. You do have to purchase the fuel but it IS worth it.

The media could not be loaded.  I got this as a gift for my mother and she loves it, it warms up her small apartment very well and is very aesthetically pleasing. I also like that this brand has a built in wick that doesn’t need to be changed. I am happy with this purchase.

It's a beautiful piece of furniture for your coffee table, the flame is beautiful, just the right size Flame. One quart of denatured alcohol is good for about 3 hours so go to your local hardware store and get a gallon for a lot less money then the actual fuel for the fireplace, and add a few ounces of liquid candle scent and fill your room with your favorite sent

Nicely made and produces a nice flame. The only issues was one of the pieces of glass was really hazed over thus loosing one star. Soap and water did not remove it, but CLR took it right off.
