Swan SK18121N Jug Kettle with Rapid Boil, Detachable Filter, 1.7L, 2200W, White

This was bought to replace a kettle that no longer worked. When looking online for a replacement I found a bewildering choice but was driven more by price than anything else, as it matters little to me what it looks like as long as it works and isn't too heavy. The only thing a bit annoying is that to use it properly by putting in enough water to cover the heating element in the bottom of the kettle, means that after filling a mug or small cafetiere there is some water left over. But as there's usually something in my sink waiting to be washed I pour the surplus hot water into or over it.

We have used the kettle for about a month and it seems pretty good and solid,it boils fairly quickly, hopefully it will last a long time

From Yorkshire so we have to have a little back up kettle for emergencies. This is so handy as it’s small and has quite a good capacity and it was super cheap. Fast boils as well but don’t over fill as it will soak the worktops. Just flip a switch and boom we have a nice cup of Yorkshire tea ☕️

Very slow to heat up the water - despite it stating it’s a fast boil. Kettle is very light and not very stable or easy to get on and off its stand. The wire on it is also very awkward to get it the right length and angle. The lowest fill water level is the highest I’ve ever had in any modern kettle and you need 4 mug/cup fulls which is NOT economic. Wouldn’t recommend this kettle , even at its cheap price. UPDATE. It’s in a cupboard now as a spare and bought alone in sale at Lidl which is 100 times better 🙌

I have read about leaks etc but the one I received isn’t suffering from any defect at allIt’s very quiet and I bought it as a back up to my expensive kettle 10 times the price and this one is so much quieter and even boiled faster side by side .The design I love and it certainly does not look cheap in the slightest and I like the weight and even the way it sits back onto the base .I can’t fault it and franklyAm amazed at the price . Worth every penny

This kettle is quick to boil, not noisy and nice and light. All factors my elderly parents look for. The main downside is they struggle placing it back on the stand. It does require that you put this on the stand at an angle with the handle being put in place first then the body of the kettle just sits naturally. You can't just line up the handle and let it come down level, it never sits on the base if you do it that way.

Good strong kettle for the money. Strong plastic but very lightweight. Easy to use and boils pretty quickly. Good family sized kettle. 👍🏻

Great value product.

The kettle looked lovely but disappointed that the plug didn’t fit the power point didn’t need extra expense of buying an adaptor.
