Great product delivers lots of fun
I bought this coin bank as a present for my friend's cat Mimosa. My friend gives Mimosa pocket money so that she can eventually afford to purchase an iPad to play cat games. Right now, she keeps her pocket money in a small bowl next to her food dish, but the bowl is almost full. I thought she would appreciate this coin bank because it is more stylish, likely can hold enough coins to cover the cost of an iPad, and would be fun for her to play with.Initial setup and testing of the coin bank by humans turned out to be fun and confirmed that the coin bank works well and the little cat inside can snatch coins of all sizes with precision. After initial skepticism, Mimosa enthusiastically embraced her new coin bank and has been playing with it ever since. The only issue after lots of rough play has been that the top cover no longer closes completely. I haven't checked yet, but it can probably be fixed quite easily. Regardless of the cover, the coin mechanism still works and Mimosa continues to be entertained whenever the little cat inside pops out to fetch a coin.

Adorable - a few notes for buyers:
Bought this as a present for my little sister. It's smaller than I expected, but it's adorable. It won't hold much, but it's more of a novelty than an actual bank. :) You do have to actually press the button for it to work though - it's not pressure sensitive.A few facts for interested buyers:Made and ships from CHINA, not Japan.Took about 3 weeks to get to the USA.It takes 2 AA batteries, not 6 like the description says.Instructions are in Japanese, but honestly all you have to do is stick the batteries in and turn the switch to "on".**PLEASE watch which store you buy from. The best one is not always the default displayed by Amazon!

Cute coin bank
I enjoyed the coin bank a lot and I actually purchased this one for a friend for Christmas. The only disappointing thing for me was that the first one I ordered had worked the first time I tried it, then it stopped working. The cat got stuck in the box and wouldn't come out to take the coin. I was a bit upset so I emailed a complaint and the company immediately replied back to me and shipped me a new one in the mail. So I am very pleased with their service. Even the first coin bank I ordered came to me in time, nicely packaged, etc.The bank is very very cute, when I gave it to my friend she just fell in love with it! You just place the coin onto the white button and press, then the cat comes out and takes the coin. ^^ It's much better than buying a regular old coin bank. This one is a lot more fun and interesting to put money into, but not the kind of coin bank you'd want if you'd want to be holding loads and loads of coins. It's more like something you'd use for a bit of coins or cash you have around or if you own a business, it'd be cute to use for a tip jar.Of course this item is not very educational because, well, it's a coin bank. But despite that, I do say this item is worth the purchase. Just be careful not to shake it around too much when you get it.I'm probably going to buy myself the panda coin bank they have just because I really enjoyed the one I gave to my friend. It's just so adorable!

NOT ITAZURA! But still cute... Things You Should know:
Based on the other user images it seems like quality of the product you get will vary-- so beware! The product I received was not the "Itazura Kitty Coin Bank," unlike the advertised title, but "Mischief Saving Box." Whatever that means.Strike-one.The color of the cat in the box is more of a cream/flan color than the orange one that is advertised.Strike-two.The sound that comes out of the box when place a coin on the button is a high pitched "THANK YOU!!!" The quality of the audio reminds me of those children's toys with a happy-voice talking to you-- but after that toy has been used over and over again for fifteen years until it's more of a fuzzy, high pitched shadow of what it once was. Oh and there's a "MEW!" sound at the end that can be a little annoying for some or inconvenient of you don't live alone/just want to use this as a piggy bank. (But it would probably be fun to show off to friends.)I prefer the silent Japanese original.Strike-three.However this coin bank is a gift, and the soon-owner is obsessed with cats-- plus all-in-all this toy is still cute, so I'm keeping it. But I thought I should share some thoughts. You lucked out this time, "Mischief Saving Box"!!

So cute, and drives my cats crazy
I bought this as a Christmas Gift for my husband, but after it came in I just had to give it to him early. It is adorable, and I wanted to see how it worked. You put in the batteries (this requires a small screwdriver as the battery is located on the bottom and the top is screwed shut). But he is adorable and definatly worth the trouble. Once this is turned on you just sit it in a shelf or table and put a piece of change on the fish shaped pad on the top. I have used every kind of change I could find, and dimes can be a little tricky, but everthing else works great. He meows loudly and rises out of the top with his paw up, then the paw goes over the coin and pulls it back down into the bank. I really like this, but my cats come running every time it meows, so they are kind of freaked. Of course they are already a little crazy, but they are cats. This is an awesome bank though, and if you don't mind the loud noise of the motor and the mews it is very fun.

ADORABLE!!!
This is adorable! I smile EVERY time I use it. It a bit smaller than I expected and I have no idea how much it can hold but who cares when it's this cute!. Reviews that I read mentioned it being noisy. It does make a bit of noise but nowhere near as much as I was led to believe in those reviews. It's just its little motor working. If any one is in to this sort of quirky Japanese thing, definitely worth it!!

Awesome
I bought first kitten for my own delight, but it was so adorable I also took few more for Xmas presents. So this one is still unopened but if it’s like mine (American Shorthair Kitty Coin Bank) it will bring joy and giggles to people who the present is intended to.

Cat Bank
Yes, it is epic. It is epic nevertheless of your age, sex or religion. From the engineering point of view, the product has been assembled firmly from good materials. And because of this, the product is solid as rock.6/5 would buy another.

Received different version of product
Despite the picture showing the Japanese version, and the description saying it will meow, I received one with English writing and the cat speaks in English. I specifically bought it for the Japanese version. Also, mine was coated in some disgusting oily/greasy substance(what the hell?!). I bought this a long time ago, just now reviewing, so it's too late to return it, but I wish I had.
