Best with Manjaro Linux and a SATA SSD
Struggled in the initial Windows Setup - it gets stuck after asking for your MS account and wanting to create a PIN. Fix was to power down my router and go though the setup with no net connection - thank Google for that! Also installed a WD Green 240GB SATA SSD (26 quid from Amazon - 4 times the capacity and speed of the underwhelming internal eMMC storage, so almost a "must buy" at that price) and put Manjaro MATE Linux on it in a dual boot setup. SSD install was easy via the hatch on the base, but make sure you have an M.2 screw handy - neither the laptop nor the SSD comes with one, which is quite maddening.Once I'd installed the latest dev kernel on Manjaro, the touchpad and wi-fi (both have issues on pre-5.5 kernels) worked and I was merrily playing Chicken Invaders 5 on Linux at 60fps. Don't expect to play any AAA games at decent framerates - this isn't the machine for that! I threw in a 5 quid 100 MB/sec 64GB microSD card from another retailer to store media on (exFAT, so visible on Windows+Manjaro), so for a 216 quid spend, I now have 368GB of onboard flash/SSD storage - not bad!Good points: Screen, keyboard (US layout, but I'm used to that) and trackpad are all decent. SSD hatch on the bottom is great, but I wish Chuwi had included an SSD rather than eMMC in the first place - the difference in performance is huge. Ports are respectable at this price point and even include a headphone jack - something that's gone missing from recent phones and even tablets.Bad points: Comes with Windows 10 (that gets stuck in setup unless you power down your router) - the low-end RAM/CPU specs are just crying out for Linux and could have even shaved a bit off the already low price. No USB charging is a downer - you have to use the clunky supplied poiwer brick adapter. Speakers are barely passable - I'd recommend headphones for any extended audio use. Atom CPU struggles with heavy multitasking, but you don't buy a machine at this price point for that.In conclusion: Buy a 240GB+ SATA SSD and install/clone Windows or Linux onto that - it's a cheap option that makes the machine boot and respond noticeably faster with plenty of storage free. Without the SSD, I'd be a bit wary recommending this laptop if you're used to snappier responses from other machines you've used that came with SSDs. Now I just need to put my Linux Inside sticker I bought recently next to the Intel Inside sticker that came with the laptop :-)

Annoying start up
I received this today, opened the box to find a pretty good looking laptop for the money. Plugged it in and switched it on. I started to go through the start up process, which hit a snag after it wanted me to enter a PIN number. After a quick check online I found out you have to switch it off, then switch your WiFi off and go through the start up again. Once this is done you can switch the WiFi back on.Another problem I had is once I had Went through all the start up, I was presented with a black screen. Again after a quick check online I found that if you hold the off button down for 1 min, then start it up again it’s sorted. After Doing all this I’ve had no problems with it. It’s a decent little laptop for what your paying. Plus it has a good sized screen.Other than the annoying problems with the initial start up, I’m pretty impressed with it.

Laptop
Haven't given it a 5 star just for the sole reason, the wifi signal is so weak. The look, the performance is awesome for a laptop.Easy to setup apart from the pin bug.Just need to turn off the router and re try if this happens then turn it back on.Yeah, worth the price imo.

Affordable and functional laptop.
This is a good, user friendly laptop that's great value for money. Simple to set up and interact with; good sized screen and keys etc. Keyboard is US layout though which is worth noting for UK buyers. Overall initially very satisfied.

Disappointing and a Waste Of Time
You get what you pay for and in this case, you get a very cheap looking and feeling laptop. There was a big mark on the bottom where it looked like it had been dropped and could never get passed the setting up pin page in windows 10 set up which I tried dozens of times where I just got the blue screen "just a moment" mesage which was on a continuous loop. Also, the mouse touchpad only worked occasionally which was very frustrating. Luckily I was able to get a refund straight away through Amazon and I ordered an HP instead.
