Silipos 10195 Digital Cap, Ribbed

During recent visit Mom's Dr. provided these size caps to relieve the pressure on her "miss aligned" toes, she got instant relief after years of suffering--but no extras just instructions to hit the internet for replacements and big toe options..Very easy to install just roll on toes like a sock with stretch to fit diameter. The inside gel is thick enough to cushion and sticky enough to keep in place with no added tape or adhesives. I thought about buying the much cheaper "sleeve" versions and sewing the ends but would only add possible irritation at seam. These caps are pre-molded to cover end of toe with no "bump" and long enough to cut to fit most toe lengths and sizes including pinky. As noted they do clean via hand washing and I recommend "rotating" position each day as areas of the gel do thin if kept in same pressure place/points--thus getter more uses per cap. Just FYI I spent days researching options and only found two brands available as caps in personal quantities not hospital bulk. Little shocked at the price but when mom puts them on and sighs with relief they are well worth every penny.

Once I cut them to the right length, they fit well on all my second and third toes. I tested them on my big toes and they fit. When cutting these ... err on the long side as I cut the first two too short. These caps were purchased to prevent blisters and they did just that. I was able to walk in 100 degree heat and not for blisters. I am very happy and so are my toes.

I have bad arthritis in one toe and the slipos cushions it so that I can wear shoes and walk without pain. They last a long time with frequent gentle washing.

These things are great, especially if you are prone to split fingers in the winterlike I am - silipos makes a good quality item, and the delivery was prompt.I guess this means I am ready for winter1
