We use our fridge as our whiteboard and no worries or problems about getting the last bit of the message wiped up. For me, the great thing is the shape of it as I have RA and Carpal Tunnel - NO pain with use. Buy it, you won't regret it later. Here's another tip - putting something in the wash that can't be dried or needs special handling - use your dry erase pen/marker to note it on your washer so you don't forget when the load is done. So easy, and less problems with accidental drying something you didn't mean to. And of course you will need one of these awesome Rembrandt Erasers for upstairs and downstairs like we do. MAGNET FAIL:The whole reason I purchased two of these was to take advantage of the magnetic feature. Unfortunately, both erasers do not stick to the whiteboard where placed. Instead, they slide down the whiteboard. The magnets are simply too weak. This happens on two different glass whiteboards in our office.For this reason, these erasers get '0' stars.I have not tested on a standard magnetic melamine whiteboard. I'm presuming all the crazy positive reviews for this eraser are from customers using it on a non-glass whiteboard.AS AN ERASER:As an eraser, they work fine. Nothing exceptional. And, if the marker has been left on the whiteboard for a handful of days, you'll need to use some pressure and multiple wipes to fully clean the glass whiteboard.For this reason, I would give this eraser 2.5 stars as it works as an average eraser. There appears to be nothing special or superior about the felt used for the eraser function.SUMMARY:In summary, I would not purchase these erasers again. They do not stay in place due to weak magnets, and, as an eraser, they are nothing exceptional.

As a teacher, I have had this eraser for 6 months, and have used it multiple times daily. At the start, it is wonderful. Super convenient when no eraser tray is available. Had I reviewed this article 4 weeks after purchase, I would have given it 5 stars. However, as with all erasers, it gets dirty. The adhesive used to secure the fabric 'erasing surface' is weak and has not stood up to the occasional rinsing. In addition, the two magnets have also come loose, so if you pick up the eraser, the plastic part comes out in your hand, leaving the cloth and magnets on the board. If you slide it, the eraser still performs, but it is becoming more and more persnickety. I have tried several different glues to reattach the magnets, but all to no avail at this point. Perhaps I should rank it higher because it is super convenient, and it worked well, but I hate throwing away items that should work - for environmental and frugal reasons. I will continue trying to 'fix' it. At a cost of just under $10, I had hoped that the eraser would last an entire school year. If it does, it will barely limp across the finish line.

I bought this item to use in my classroom. It erased fine and I didn't have any trouble with my eraser sticking to my board. I do, however, wish I could buy refills because after only one school year of use, it needs replacing (I had 5 erasers total, varying in brand and size). To me, it makes more sense to buy cheaper ones since you have to replace them each year anyway.

Works as advertised. Just by looking at it, one would think it's a rather simple and ineffective product but give it a good wipe and you'll see why it excels over other junky erasers. The form factor is great, allows the eraser to fit in your hand and apply some pressure as you wipe, but the drawback is that the magnet isn't strong enough to hold up its bulky design. It doesn't magnetize very well to any of the surfaces I've tried, which is a huge inconvenience. Also, because the cleaning surface isn't very abrasive, it struggles to remove old white board marker ink without some cleaning solvent. But once you apply some then it's super effective.If you're tired of dealing with cheap erasers that break apart then I'd give this little guy a try. For the price I think it's worth it. And if you are fortunate enough get one with a magnet that is stronger than the one I received then I truly think that you have a near perfect dry marker eraser.

The Rembrandt Magnetic Whiteboard Eraser is lightweight and sturdy. It's about the size of a large computer mouse, so easy to handle.I especially like the magnetized feature. Of course, if your whiteboard isn't made of metal, you'll need to have a metal surface nearby. (Fortunately, I have a metal file cabinet nearby for easy access.) If sticking to your whiteboard is important to you, I'd suggest testing your whiteboard with any household magnet before ordering this eraser.So far the Rembrandt erases well without needing too much elbow grease. The eraser surface is raised a bit which helps when you need to use just a corner to erase a small area without touching the surrounding text or graphics on your whiteboard.

Works beautifully! Barely any pressure needed to fully erase. I have tried it with several different markers with the same results for each. I'm using it on a Quartet frosted glass dry erase board which is not magnetic so I can't comment on that aspect. It's a comfortable weight in my hand and not too big that it's uncomfortable to use. (My hands are small compared to most women). All in all very happy with it and would buy again!
