Incomplete
The cards are perfect except in my pack card 6,7,8 are missing from section 1. It does not stop the product working as each card is different, it just means I do not have a full product.

A really good way to learn
My mother, as a teacher is always keen to look at any revision aids and review them. She says ' As with the Verbal Reasoning version of these flash cards, these are well made, small enough to carry around and are a really good way to stock up on your knowledge prior to the 11+ examination. If you are not prepared and go into the exam not confident there is always a possibility that you can go into panic mode for a while. During this time nothing seems to make any sense and the questions can look impossible. It lasts for a short time, but this time might be vital in the exam. Therefore I always advise - prepare -prepare -prepare if you want to succeed. I personally have always felt that flash cards are a good way to learn and used them all the time in the run up to law finals (some time ago). One thing I will say as a word of advice, is be certain that your child really does want to work extremely hard at grammar school and knows what to expect, as I have seen some students struggle who prepared well enough to pass the exam, but then found the level of work very difficult once in the selective school. Speak to your child's teacher and rely on their judgement, your own gut feelings and above all the child's wishes and motivation to do the work required.'

No nonsense NON-VERBAL REASONING practice
Simply black & white, with shades of grey, as shown in the current stock images above.I am used to colourfully presented practice cards from another brand, and although these are slightly larger in size, they look quite formal and sometimes busy in presentation, by comparison. Those not so confident might find them a little daunting ~ indeed as have some of the adults on my recent travels!Having said that, they are handy for practice and are ‘suitable for all 11+ exams’, as stated on the front of the box.ooOoo~ LETTS~ 11+~ NON-VERBAL REASONING~ FLASHCARDS~ 2019'Printed in China''Letts gets you through'ooOooThe 100 x good quality cards are presented in a sealed, cardboard box measuring around 8.5 cm x 12.5 cm x 3.75 cm. They each measure around 12.5 cm x 8.25 cm with rounded corners. The first two cards show ‘HOW TO USE THESE CARDS’, with the QUESTION TYPES x 12 on the back of one, along with suggestions for a couple of ‘GAMES TO PLAY WITH THE CARDS’ on the other. The remaining cards are split over 12 QUESTION TYPES.Cards 3-8 show EXAMPLE questions & answers for all 12 types, followed by practice questions for each, i.e.:1. Shape Analogies (cards 9-15)2. Shape Matrix (cards 16-23)3. Shape Sequences (cards 24-30)4. Two Similar Shapes (cards 31-37)5. Shape Codes (cards 38-44)6. Odd Shape Out (cards 45-52)7. Three Similar Shapes (cards 53-60)8. Vertical Codes (cards 61-68)9. Figure Classification (cards 69-76)10. Triangle Sequences (cards 77-8411. Star Matrices (cards 85-92)12. Triangle Analogies (cards 93-100)…so it is easy to find & concentrate on an area that may be proving tricky. Each question card has 2 questions on one side with the answers, along with any explanation, on the other. For keeping in order in the box, the 100 numerical cards have a small number on the top right-hand side.[30 images attached ©HarperCollins Publishers Ltd/2019]

Good, snappy practice
This topic is the most obscure part of the 11 Plus, especially as it’s not covered in the mainstream curriculum. These cards will help a lot in preparing for the exam. The first eight cards consist of instructions on use and a worked example of each of the twelve question types. The rest are the actual questions in topic order; each question card has two questions on one side and the answers, with brief explanations, on the other. They are supposed to cover the scope of both GL and CEM. I haven’t checked against the specifications, but they should be useful for both. If you want something specific to one of these tests, CGP do a set tailored for CEM, but otherwise you will need to get paper workbooks instead. Beware, too, of the claim on the box “suitable for all 11+ exams”, as some schools/Local Authorities set their own tests which are neither GL nor CEM, though most of the material should still be useful. The pictures are very small – smaller than the pictures in a real 11+ paper – but this will encourage children to study them carefully.Once you’ve done all the questions, in theory you will know the answers, but with over 180 questions there is plenty of scope to hone technique by going over them again.

Covers 12 different types of Non Verbal questions for 11+
These are larger than average cards - similar to revision card size. There's a helpful card to show you how to use them, but really it only serves to show you the type of questions covered. All the different types basically. Non-verbal is one of the hardest topics in the 11+ and these are really helpful. One side has the questions - just two so nice a quick. The other has answers and most importantly why they are correct. Great for independent revision and practice. Could also be used for games - even parents can be challenged with this as these are not always so obvious! My only criticism is that they use no colour, just greyscale so look a bit boring. Maybe the cost would be higher is colour was used? Who knows but personally if children like the look of it, they'll engage more so colour would have been a smarter choice in my view.
