So classy...rich feel!
I wanted a journal made of real leather as a gift for our pastor. This one is real, thick, durable, smells awesome and even has a practical side since it's paper binding is designed to open up flat. This allows easy note-taking or art work. It is very authentic and ornate looking. Would make a great prop in a medieval play and I love the wrap-around, braided strap. I think he'll really like it. I'm having my brother add a preacher's quote written in calligraphy in the front cover.

Love the overall aesthetic and handmade quality. The attention to detail is wonderful. The paper quality is great, though many of the pages have a slightly debossed watermark that I do not like at all, but as a designer I understand how hard it might be to get around that and will still give this product a much deserved 5 star review. Love the leather and the fact that it is personalized with my initials.

True handcrafted beauty
I was asked by Renaissance Art to write this review in exchange for them impringint the cover of the journal. With that said, I love this journal. I purchased this for my wife for our third anniversary (leather anniversary). I had the intentions of her using the journal for a high quality sketch book. She loved it. My wife is a very talentd artist, so she only uses high quality materials. She just couldn't put the journal down.The cratfsmanship that went into the journal shows very clearly. The pages are beautifully hand torn to give it a rustic look. It feels like you are looking at a journal from the 1700's. The leather is so soft and luxurious. It folds around your hand as you hold it. For me the braided cord for the closure was a very nice touch. It gives the journal a sense of security and yet makes it feel so open.I would absolutely recommend thiis product.

Great sketchbook
I ordered this journal/sketchbook for one of my friends. After receiving it, I can say that buying this item was a great decision. My friend absolutely loves the feel of the leather and the quality of the pages. I think the binding and braided strap suit the sketchbook well. Both of us agree that the sketchbook feels durable and should last for years to come. The item is simple, yet aesthetically pleasing - recommended.

I absolutely LOVE this sketchbook journal! It will be perfect for traveling as I gather my tthoughts in detailed sketches on each page. I was even able to get my initials engraved on the cover! Definitely a deal, and definitely worth buying.
