My husband was looking for a heavy duty retractable holder and this one was on sale and it was a pack of 2. Arrived early and in a super cute box, it even made me wonder what did I order haha it was so dainty. Product itself is very sturdy, definitely heavy duty and thick. Is a plus that it cames a 2 pack then you can have an extra in case this one breaks, honestly I would have paid the same amount for a 1 pack, is a great purchase.

So I love the weight, feel, and look from the outside, but the way the cable connects to the reel could be stronger. First day I was using it, it got caught on something and a light tug popped it off the reel. Since that isn't normal wear and tear, I can't really hold it against the product itself (particularly considering the price), but other similar metal retractable lanyards held up to a lot better to getting caught or tugged. It doesn't appear that the cable itself broke, just that it disconnected. I think with that minor adjustment, it would be perfect. The exterior is very sturdy and durable - it is only the connection of the wire to the reel itself that could benefit from improved strengthening. I do really like the product and am glad that I have a spare at home to replace it with, and even with knowing that one minor design weakness, I will order this product again.

So they these retractable badge holder/keychain showed a lot of promise and appeared to be heavy duty. They issue I had was that a few days after I got them the cable broke so I lost the ability to retract my badge and keys which is why I bought them so this is problematic for me. So I started to use the other as it came in a package if two and same thing happened. If these guys can somehow make the cable more durable then this product will be amazing but as of right now it isn't for my intended use.

1 Major flaw which has caused me to go through 3 of these badge holders in the last year. The plastic coat and metal cable frays against the housing where the cable connects to the key ring. Once the wire retracts into the housing there is not taking it apart and fixing it. This has happen to 3 of these badge holders now and I am on my last one. Cannot recommend this product because of this durability issue and b/c this is supposed to be a premium product. I work in an office where I have to badge in and out several times of day so its not in heavy use. I like the looks an the finish and I can see they are trying to make a quality product based on the material but I will not be purchasing this product again after my 4th one fails. Within 3-days of receiving this product (2 units) the extension wire snapped apart from the collar. I am currently using second unit. Since I have no confidence in this product, I will be looking for a replacement. It is my recommendation to look for alternative product.

The retractable string snapped. I've had this in use since mid-July. I have one plastic ID holder and one key on the ring and I do use it frequently everyday. I bought two boxes (four holders) and since my purchase earlier this year, I'm on number 2.I do like the clip/carabineer but just not the retractable holder. Xldoes not hold up to time or frequent use.

Had these for a few weeks and had to have the first set replaced after they snapped! One of the one’s snapped and left a welt on my side when it broke. Got the second set, and low and behold they broke as well.

I was impressed with how heavy duty and sturdy with it's metal casing and steel cable but does any of that matter when it easily breaks off where the head meets the cable. I've had this for less than two months and is only used lightly and the head just snapped off the cable. Luckily they send two and I was able to get it changed out but it's so far lasted much less time than cheapo depot badge holders.
