Dell Inspiron 5379 Battery
I rate this battery as a fair value item. I expected it to be better, but it is NOT!! Even after fully charging it after having depleted it fully, it sometimes starts with 6-7 hr life but next time I may also get something else in the 3.5 to 5 hrs range. No matter what is initially displayed, it does not really last longer than 3 - 3.5 hrs. During that time, displayed remaining battery life fluctuates between 45 minutes to 4-5 hrs (yes, sometimes higher than what was initially displayed). I am not sure what is causing these wild fluctuations and if it is due to the computer all of a sudden using a lot of energy and then quieting down. In contrast, the battery in my other and older laptop (a 17* HP Envy) shows a steady decline and lasts about 2.5 hrs. I wonder if other replacement Dell batteries also under perform and behave like this.

1/3 the price of Dell battery; no problems so far. May require taking some laptops apart to replace.
Though it was NOT fun taking apart a newer DELL laptop to change this battery (not the fault of the battery itself!), it is an exact fit, and Dell battery app reports good battery now. Customer was happy with replacement.Dell "Support" acted like they had never heard of this battery, nor the 2 year old $1200 Dell laptop it was needed for. When I finally found the battery stock # on their warehouse site, it was OUT OF STOCK and an outrageous price.So: Amazon to the rescue :)

Excellent Product
My Dell Laptop battery was not working so I was trying to get good replacement at reasonable price.It was easy to replace the battery and almost 2 weeks now and it is working good. It is a excellent replacement battery at good price. Shipping was quick and overall it’s a good experience. I will highly recommend it.

Worked with my Dell!
Installed this battery in my Dell laptop and so far so good. Interesting thing, although it’s not a “Dell” part per se my computer recognized it as a Dell battery and it was about half the price. Yes!
