Truly Captivating!
This book was amazing! Being familiar with the Warrens work I bought the book knowing that it would be an informative and exciting read. It was all that and more, at least to me. I found myself during the day wishing to hurry home to read more! Ed and Lorraine Warren, with the aid of author, Robert Chase, out did themselves! The book is chalk full of a vast variety of TRUE, ghostly tales. That's the key word here, "TRUE". Some are sad, some joyous, some evil and others just very odd. Most of the stories creepy and horrifying. It is nearly 200 pages long and every story was just, if not more, satisfying than the last. A few of the stories made your jaw drop and make you say out loud, "NO WAY, THAT CAN'T BE TRUE"! For example, one of the stories in section one, entitled, "Strange Passenger" is incredible. It was very freaky! You wonder to yourself, "Oh my gosh- would I be able to live through something like that if it happened to ME"? And in section two of the book there is one particular story that was dynamic and unsettling. It was titled, "The Dead Return To Earth". In the extream possibility of this story being accurate, which I believe it to be, is mind numbing and absolutely defys logic. I highly recommend, "Graveyard, true hauntings from an old New England cemetery"! But be warned folks, if you keep an open mind, many of the stories will provoke fear! I would not read it if you are alone in the house. Mainly because you know the stories really occured!!

Great and memorable, as well as haunting.
Book 1 is all about several peoples encounters with hauntings (mostly) involving graveyards. Throughout the book, the story is told from the victim's perspective and then you will have comments from Ed or Lorraine. There are several interesting stories told by Ed Warren and about encounters he had at union cemetery, mainly the famous Lady in White. I will admit that some of the first few stories can drag a little and not have anything to crazy. The second half of the book will keep you hooked and even creeped out.

Great new material from the Warrens
Graveyard is an excellent collection of real account ghost stories and reportings centered around Union cemetary near the authors home in Conneticut. The book presents some historical lore how family curses followed some of the first settlers of the region. Then documented stories are presented. Most interesting ones are the ghost lady in white pestered by small black creatures, the cross country skier whose death was imminent after meeting the ghost pionneer, and the radio shock jock who changed his ways. There are some photo's in the book but it always seems more interesting pictures's could have been included to make this a 5 star book. The Warrens are a devout couple who have made it their life long goal to assist clergymen in the rescue of people afflicted or possessed by demonic spirits. Another book, and I think their best book by far, is the Demonologist by Gerald Brittle which deals with demonic cases. Unfortunately the book is out of print. If you can find it, buy it because it is well written and exciting and at the same time sobering to read.

Good Book and Good People
Really like this book I really like this book . Sorry this is in here twice but I'm using a microphone. Ed and Lorraine Warren are good people no matter what realm they are in . They have helped a lot of people through the years . If you want to know about them and their lives the best thing you can do is buy their books and the lessons . Unfortunately they have left everything as far as I can tell to their son-in-law . It seems to me that he has turn their site end who they were into basically a money make money making machine . What I'm saying is it's best to buy off of Kindle or some other site not the New England Society for psychical research site .Whether you are a believer or not this book is interesting and has many good stories . Good reading and blessed be .

Not sure what is and isn’t true
The stories are good but when I google some of the names in the book I can’t find anything about them. I m just sure if this book is truthful or not but if not the stories were interesting for sure

One of the scariest books I've read!!
This book is frightening. It's scary to know that these are true stories that happened to real people. It definitely reminds you that playing with ouija boards or calling out to the dead is very dangerous and can ruin your life! I recommend this book to anyone who has questions about the paranormal world and would like an understanding. I like that the Warren's add their take to each story as to why this happened and what it means. I can't wait to start reading book 2. I believe there are a total of 7 books. This was an easy and good read! You won't be able to put the book down until you're done!

Make sure you can handle books about paranormal happenings
"GRAVEYARD...True Hauntings from an Old New England Cemetery".When I offer a paranormal book from my library to a person of interest, it makes a difference as to what level of paranormal stories I lend that person. When it comes to books involving Ed and Lorraine Warren, I know that demonology will be involved as Ed was regarded as a true Demonologist in the world of Demonic Paranormal Study. His wife Lorraine is a psychic of her own right, and they worked together for decades...before the study of paranormal was cool.I would not recommend this book to a person just starting out reading about paranormal activity, especially if they have loved ones buried in cemeteries, as the context of the book could exploit trauma to that person (without meaning to), but it could due to the books contents surrounding cemetery aparisions told about in this book. However, I recommend it highly to those who study paranormal activity without any reservations of trauma. The book centers around happenings to people who have died tragically, whereas their souls as still earth-bound. Other entities are delivering messages, and others are revenging their deaths. These stories all happen in different time periods in an old New England Cemetery.P.S.I would recommend any readings that have to do with Ed and Lorraine Warren's involvement with the paranormal. I would highly recommend the book, THE DEMONOLOGIST. That is such a fascinating book about cases of the Warren's. And believe you me, many chapters of that book have stayed with me to this day, due to it's fascinations!

Quick read
A quick read. Spelling errors and typos are annoying. Most of the stories are interesting. Light and quick about the darkness of a cemetery is how I would describe it.

Intriguing
Read this in one sitting. Interesting book with interesting stories of people's accounts of the supernatural and paranormal world. I find it fascinating myself. Though I'm unable to see or hear spirits, I am able go feel their presence.

Bon achat
