Schumacher SL26BU 360 Degree Rechargeable Work Light

I bought this light for my stepfather last Christmas. He absolutely loved the light to the point he used it daily and recommended it often to his friends. 7 months into using the product heavily, the flashlight started to not work to its potential. Product turns on but only if it is plugged in. When plugged in the product is no longer charging, so once unplugged the product turns off and cannot be used in its intended way. Product was taken apart to see if it could be an easy fix, and the charging port appears to be burnt. I had reached out to the company on my stepfather's behalf hoping to just receive a new part to fix the issue, and filled out a RMA that was later "rejected" due to the flashlight being taken apart by someone other than the company. Unfortunately, we were not aware of this restriction on the warranty.Although he loved this light, we will no longer be customers due to the poor customer service received.

Fantastic light! There is a couple issues now and then with it, but for using it everyday at a dealership and dropping it or getting it covered in oil or coolant it holds up well. Eventually the swivel wears out, sometimes stuff rattles inside after you drop it, eventually I had to secure the battery after dropping it too much, and the magnet on the bottom had to be retightened on one of these that I've owned. I'd recommend buying the green because it's brightly colored and the black can be forgotten under a car. Haha The soft rubber texture can degrade from brake cleaner by the way. So, considering how much I've abused the first one I have I still keep it at home as a backup. I use my new one at work.

We've used these lights for several years on our farm now and have been most pleased with their durability, battery life and the design for their many uses. Dropped mine last night off the house 12+ feet and it landed of course on the only piece of concrete in the vicinity. It didn't crack, break or split and stayed lit...YEA! Whether harvesting, planting, working on equipment, working ground or cattle, one of these is usually within arms reach or in the cab because they are so versatile. I love the strong magnets built in to hold them in place on a wall, steel beam or on the hood of a truck or tractor. Extra lighting to see when unloading grain onto a truck or grain cart just stick em on the sides or on the cab or grain bin. We've even used them in a pinch when the lights went out on the tractor in the field cause your lights never quit working when your parked where you want to be right? I Strongly recommend these I just wish they weren't so pricey.

charge is pretty long lasting, my only complaint is that there is no warning before it goes out, no blinking like some others I have just sudden darkness

I am a auto technician and I use this daily. I like that it can hang from hook or magnet and enables me to place it where I need light to work. The battery life is good and it is very bright. Great quality and takes a beating . I got the green one as I have lost my prior one on a car.

I love this flashlight, I orginally bought from lowes about 3 yrs or so ago, wasnt very sure about it at the time. But I love it so much that when my 1st got stolen I had to buy another one, however lowes dont carry them any more. But as a electrician, this thing as 3 magnets sticks on panels nicely, bends in all directions. And has 2 hooks to hang as well very very awesome, I could probably write a book about it. The only con is well I dont know if there is one, well it don't fit in my shirt pocket lol.

Bought this to replace the same thing. Last one lasted at least 4 years of daily use as a agriculture equipment tech. Hit the ground hundreds of times. Dropped in buckets of oil and antifreeze. Very durable light for the price. Excellent battery life.

Charges quickly and it is bright.I like the magnetic adjustment feature I can stick it to furnaces so I can see to troubleshoot them. I've dropped it several times and it keeps on working.It's small enough I can carry it in my veto tool bag with my other HVAC tools.I agree with the other reviewers it needs charge indicator LED so you would know when it needs charging. If it lasts like it should I will buy another one.

I had bought a few mid range work lights and each had it's shortcomings that annoyed me, so i decided to drop the money and get a good one.Well, it sure looks good, the swivel feature with magnets on the back and at base are good and are very useful. Can't think of one improvement on that front.BUT at that price, I expect better. Light is a bit weak, and the lower setting, it's basically the same brightness, maybe a tad weaker from brightest setting.The lower setting should be conserved as is and the higher setting should be brighter.Second issue: light isn't waterproof. I tried to wash it and water got inside. Again, at that price point ( more than 100$ ) I expect it to be everything a work light can be, and washable is an important feature. After a day of work in grim and oil, I should be able to just take it under the sink and give it a good wash so it returns to it's red color. Also, if I need to work on the interior of the car, the light needs to be washed to prevent staining the interior. This is a major issue, and given that Dollarama flashlights are waterproof, there's no excuse.The on off button is hard to press but has a good quality feel to it. The issue is that since there is a top small light and the side work light with 2 brightness settings that are controlled from the same button, one needs to press it 4 times to cycle through it all. Given the stiffness of the button it becomes annoying in the long run. The smart thing would be 2 buttons. 1 that exclusively turns the side work light on and off ( since 95% of the time it will be used like that ) and 1 button that toggles between brightness levels when the work light is on and turns on and off the top small light if pressed when side light is off. Et voilà! 1 click control on all functions.Add to this a usb C charging port instead of b so i don't have to look which way to plug it in every damn time, add wireless charging so I can just not bother plugging it in when I finish the day, but can simply put it down and pick it up ready the next day, add more battery ( battery is good but occasionally I have run out ) and include a few replaceable lenses ( lense does get scratched with time ) and charge me 200$ instead of 100. I'll gladly pay double to have all those annoying details gone.Overall a good product but with many improvements needed.

This thing is awesome. If you had told me 6 months ago I would spend $50 on a flashlight I would have laughed, but this is worth every penny. I bought it after using another mechanic's.It is so convenient - it can be twisted and adjusted so the light shines at any angle you want.Run time is longer than stated on the box - I used it for 4 hours without it dying. The one downside would be it takes a while to charge.The light is bright enough for every use I've found for it so far.It seems pretty durable as I use in the shop and it's been dropped, stepped on, things dropped on it, hit by the occasional slipped wrench...

Very bright, the magnet holds on very securely and articulation let's you point in any angle you need. Size is compact to be wherever you need it. Only thing I don't like is the cover over the magnet pulls off after a few uses.

My 3rd purchase. I love the light because of its size is handy, can stand on extreme temperature, shock proof,swivel head and 3 light modes and battery life is superb. I always dropped mine above 6ft but it still works, this is a rugged light. You get what you paid for.. . Magnet is strong by the way

La lámpara cumplió mis expectativas muy bien, la uso en detallado automotriz para trabajo de corrección de pintura y está lámpara no le pide nada a scangrip la carga sigue en 3 puntos desde el viernes que me llegó el uso no a Sido intenso pero realmente los dos niveles de intensidad en la luz funcionan perfectamente, recomiendo ampliamente el artículo y la marca.Se siente de buena calidad y construcción además el color ayuda a ubicarla inmediatamente.
